TWENTY-THREE: The Search Continues

Narrator's POV:

"Now I know you know everything about the going ons in the Ru'an Region. I know you know what happened in O'Khasis just a few days ago so tell me. Where is the meifwa they took?" The bandit gulped as he stared back at Zane.

Zane's grip tightened on the bandit's neck a menacing look on his face as the bandit thrashed around struggling to get free, fear swirling in his eyes as he seen Laurance turn into a Shadow Knight.

Laurance walked towards Zane, standing nearby as he watched the every move of Zane, he knew he should stop him but until he found out where she is, nothing's going to stop him.

When the bandit said nothing, Zane started squeezing tighter watching the bandit's face turned red from lack of air and thrashed around, clawing at Zane's arm.

"So it's true," The bandit wheezed out and Zane stared at him loosening his grip slightly. "The heartless merciless High Priest of O'Khasis has a heart after all. Funny how even the most respectful men fall to love, though I'm surprised the High Priest would fall in love with a weak little pink haired meifwa. I wonder what they're doing to her" The bandit spit out.

Zane growled out in anger and threw him towards the cliffs edge, Zane started walking towards him with Laurance following close behind him still in his Shadow Knight form.

The bandit scrambled up but Zane was quicker and grabbed his neck, holding him out as the bandit realized by what he said, it may mean he's falling to his death.

Laurance stopped near him, anger surging through him as his mind was in no state to stop Zane from doing this, he didn't care about the complications of Zane dropping the bandit.

He just wanted Kawaii-Chan back.

The bandit grabbed Zane's arm tightly with wide eyes hoping that somehow he could get Zane to take mercy on him but he knew Zane was not a person to give mercy on anyone.

"If you know anything about me, you know I don't like repeating my words. However I will do only this once," Zane pulled the bandit towards him narrowing his eyes at him. "Where did they take her?" Zane snapped out.

The bandit stared at him for a moment before panicking when Zane started loosening his grip on him.

"I don't know! All I know is they're taking her back to Tu'la! They just need to keep her away from you long enough to make it! They're waiting on their bosses word!" The bandit rasped out.

"Why Tu'la?" Zane asked.

"They know she's the High Lord's daughter, they know he's been searching for her for a decade. They know he wants to spill her blood or turn her into a weapon. You think that's her full abilities.....that's not even half of what she could do. The High Lord know's this and knows how to unleash her full power....she either becomes his weapon or she dies. She's in a Cavern somewhere in the mountains!" The bandit shouted.

"Drop him! We have to go!" Laurance shouted, Zane stared at the bandit for a moment who shook his head.

"No please" He whispered, Zane let go watching him fall into the rapids below before turning around and running with Laurance.

The wind howled around them, blowing the snow on the mountain around and making it difficult for everyone to see as they continued walking up the mountain.

Aphamu led the group of guards up, looking around as she pushed through knowing it's going to be dangerous but she didn't care, she wasn't stopping until she found Kawaii-Chan.
