TWENTY-TWO: Searching For Her

Narrator's POV:

"Mother" Garroth whispered, Lady Zianna stared at her eldest son for a moment before running towards him with a sob and wrapped her arms tightly around him as he hugged her back.

Aphmau stared at them as Zane stared down at the pink rose dying in his hand and Laurance paced back and forth his anger getting worse with every passing minute.

Zane looked around and seen a man struggling to get up and stormed towards him, the rebel noticed him and started panicking when Laurance noticed and charged at him.

Zane grabbed the man by the neck and slammed him into the wall starting to cut off the air to his lungs as Laurance stopped next to him pointing the sword at him.

"Where are they taking her?" Zane growled out in a low menacing tone, the rebel stared at him and started chuckling as he spit blood at them.....big mistake.

"So it's true. The heartless High Priest has a heart after all....and it belongs to the pretty little meifwa. Shame what's going to happen to her" Laurance couldn't take it anymore.

He yelled and slit the man's throat, Zane just dropped him and turned around to see Garroth, Aphmau, and Zianna staring at them in a panic as they started walking.

Garroth ran towards Laurance and Zane and got in their way, no matter what the two tried to do, Garroth wouldn't let them by him and that was angering them both.

"Get out of my way! I will knock you down if I have too!" Laurance shouted, Garroth shook his head.

"They will go through with killing her if they see you two are looking after her. Right now she's still alive and that's all that matters right now so stay here!" Garroth shouted.

Laurance glared at him before backing down knowing despite the fact they are best friend's, Laurance is still his second in command and has to listen to him.

Laurance backed down while Zane shoved past his older brother who ran after him and jumped in front of him again, grabbing him but Zane shoved him back.

"Zane! Don't do this! Stand down!" Garroth shouted, Zane grabbed the collar of his armour and narrowed his eyes at his brother with a menacing look.

"Laurance Zvahl is your second in command, he has no choice but to listen to you and stand down. I however am not and am the High Priest of O'Khasis! I hold a higher rank than you and I will not follow your orders! You may be my big brother but Kawaii-Chan is out there in harm and I will stop at nothing until she is back here safe! Are we clear?" Everyone gasped.

Laurance's eyes widened as he realized that Zane Ro'Meave had fallen in love with her while Garroth stared up at his brother for a moment before nodding his head.

"Fine" Zane let him go.

-DAY ONE-

Zane walked into the room, slamming the door shut behind him, it was so hard that the door shook on it's hinges and silenced everyone in the room in a second.

Kawaii-Chan had been taken a day ago and there has been nothing that could possibly lead them to where she could be and it's making Zane go crazy.

He had been watching the rose carefully watching it as it was draining slowly and he knew that he didn't have much time before they would kill her and he couldn't let that happen.

The Jury of Nine had gone searching for the day it happened and returned with nothing on where she could've gone, Zane ordered them all to stay in O'Khasis as guards were sent out to search the surrounding area around O'Khasis.
