15. Work Harder

Taehyung was standing inside his cabin looking outside one of his windows without actually thinking anything. He was staring at nothing in particular. But soon his action was interrupted by a knock at his cabin door.

On the other side of the door stood a nervous Jungkook, whom other students feared so much for his cold expression and behaviour...but it was difficult to explain the change in his character whenever he was near the elder.

Jungkook took a long breath before knocking on the cabin's door yet again. He heard a small 'come in' from his teacher, Jungkook slowly entered inside the cabin taking careful steps towards Taehyung's table.

He saw Taehyung standing by the window not facing him, which made his heart feel the pain a little bit if you ask but what can he do about it... nothing right? So he shrugged the pained feeling and tried to break the silence, "Um... Taehyung yo-..."

Jungkook couldn't complete his sentence as Tae cut him off mid - sentence, "Why did you gave me those things?"

The younger looked down not daring to look at Taehyung's back, "I - i wanted to apologise for what I did"

There was an awkward silence between the two as none shared any conversation but it was again broke by one of the two, "Why did you do that Jeon"

Jungkook looked at Taehyung who was now facing Jungkook with his almond eyes, "I - i ... I don't k -know..."

"Lie...I know nothing happened without a reason that day...*sighs... I want you to be honest with me for once Jeon."

Jungkook was feeling too shameful to say out loud what the actual reason was, he averted his eyes from the elder's and parted his lips to let out the air he was holding.

Taehyung saw the discomfort in his student as he took a few steps closer to Jungkook, "And here you were asking for a chance..." He scoffed at the younger's behaviour going back to sit on his chair.

Jungkook's eyes widened at the mention of 'chance' , was he really willing to give him a chance?
He tried to talk with Tae about it, "Taehyung I - i am really sorry for what happened that day. I'm regretting everything I did to you. I'm willing to do anything you would say...P-please just don't cut me off. I - i ... Taehyung please forgive me." Jungkook let out a shaky breath at the end of his speech as tears were threatening to form in his doe eyes.

(I just can't 😭...)

Taehyung had his eyes fixed at Jungkook as he couldn't actually understand why he was so eager for his forgiveness, not like he didn't want it because Jungkook did made a huge mistake and he deserved to be punished but it was quite the opposite of the younger's behaviour.

Taehyung stood from his chair as he went near Kook again and started with his deep voice, " Jungkook..."
This one word hitched the younger's breath, he looked at Taehyung's direction and took a sharp breath because of their closeness.

He got lost in Taehyung's eyes but was brought into reality when the said male voiced again, "What you did was really undesirable and yes you made a huge mistake by doing something so unpleasant with me. If I want I could take you to the Principal's office but I don't want to ruin your studies because of me" Taehyung tried to compose himself as he didn't want the situation to get worse, "...And if you want to earn my forgiveness you have to work hard. No one can change the fact that you literally tried to force yourself on me"

Jungkook lowered his head, once he heard the last sentence from Taehyung's mouth as it stabbed his heart making it hard to breathe.
Tae made slow steps and went near the window as he stared outside to look at the dark clouds. He exhaled a long sigh as he parted his lips, "I don't want anyone to know about whatever happened between us. I just want you to realise your mistake and to never repeat it in the near future."

Jungkook lifted his face to look at Taehyung , "I - i will not tell anyone and I'll try my best to gain your f-forgiveness... I am sorry again ." He mouthed the last word more like a whisper audible enough for Taehyung.

Jungkook wanted to scream, he wanted to cry, he wanted to be engulfed by someone so bad but he couldn't...he couldn't do anything as he felt empty from inside. He was feeling like a criminal, a criminal who was willing to do anything to cover his sin.

After sometime Taehyung turned around and looked at the younger's direction who was standing like a mannequin with his head low, "Umhh...You can go now."

Jungkook looked up from his feet and chewed his lips in nervousness thinking about what he was going to ask next, "T-Taehyung..."

"Hmm ?" Taehyung didn't look at the younger as he was busy collecting his belongings to go back to his house.

"I wanted to ask you something" Jungkook spoke in an extremely low tone.

"What...?" It was then when Tae rose his eyes to look at the younger standing before him.

Jungkook nervously looked at Taehyung's eyes, "About our private classes..."

Taehyung straightened his position as the question was unexpected for him, "I'll think about it...later, till then don't wait for me after school."

"Oh okay...but think about it w - when you get time "
Jungkook bowed politely infront of his teacher and asked for his leave.

When the younger was out of the cabin, both the males had their eyes shut re-thinking about what happened just a moment ago. It was clear that they both were hurt but only time could heal the wounded heart of theirs.

(Let's scream together...😱)
