[The first chapter can seem a little slow but dw it will get here]

Hunting, one of the arts that the tribe had long used to obtain food and skins for the winter, the art that created respected warriors among them, many wanted to prove their skills in this field, demonstrate their strength, agility and intelligence in hunting the prey.

But to do so, they first had to face a test, the kühtaamia, the first step towards receiving the permission and honor of being named a warrior and a true hunter.

Many young ones could do it, bringing home prey deemed ferocious and lethal, wolves, lions, bears, the greater and more dangerous, the more respect and glory but not many came out victorious and that's what worried y/n.

Her younger sister, Naru, was passionate about hunting since her early age, always wanting to venture with their father and brother, Tabee, on their expeditions.

She wanted to prove her worth and strength but this was always strongly discouraged by the people of the tribe.

Many young men and little boys had discouraged her by telling her that her place was in the village to look after the children, only because she was a woman, of course y/n had always stood up for her sister and being older than the boys they didn't smuggle most of the time when the older one intervened, y/n had full trust in the younger girl but a part of her wanted this passion of her to disappear, every day she had the fear of having to hear again the news of a loved one passing to the other side, y/n could not bear the idea of losing another member of her family.

Like her father.

But y/n knew she couldn't dissuade Naru from her aspirations, she knew it wasn't right to even try to do so and thats why the support was the best she could offer to the younger girl.

Taabe, her older brother, also tried to support his sister but many times he implied that he preferred her to stay away from the hunt, of course without being listened to.

He didn't degrade Naru for being a woman, they had in past generations female hunters, who made a name for themselves in the tribe but he didn't think his sister was made for that world, neverthless, as an older brother, he would always support her despise his disagreement.

Y/n on the other hand had never been interested in hunting, she adored the forest and knew it like the back of her hand but it never entered her thoughts of becoming a hunter.
One thing she loved to do was running, run nimbly through the trees and mists to feel the wind on her skin and the ground quickly slide beneath her feet.

Many elders of the tribe, seeing this extraordinary agility and speed from the female, had advised the young woman to try the path of the hunter but she had always refused, saying that she preferred to collect herbs and help in the village than to skin the animals, especially because the mere sight of the blood made her extremely uncomfortable and nauseous.

This is how many of the village went to y/n when in desperate need of herbs or fruit, they knew she would return in a short time given her talent and the woman happly accepted all the times, sometimes she personally went to ask if anyone needed herbs or fruits just for the need and excuse to run in the forest, which even though it was her home since she was little, she never stopped loving and contemplating it.

But sometimes even the most beautiful things can be lethal.

Y/n was sleeping peacefully before a leg shook her out of her paceful sleep.

Slightly opening her eyes, she saw how her younger sister was awakened a few seconds later in the same way, after a few sighs due to sleepiness, y/n sat down to see that neither her mother or brother were present in the tent, probably they had woken up earlier than usual.
