the hunt begins

(This chapter will be rather long, so be prepared, were gonna have some interesting interaction w our friend and some more interaction w our family)

Y/n silently sat in her tent as she heard the voices just outside of it talking, but she didnt bother trying to understand what they were saying.

She was too focused on her own thoughts to care, she was running in her mind all the events that happend in the previous days, like a story that never ends, she just made herself as little as possible in the end of the tent trying to find some kind of comfort in her bed.

She looked at her right to see Naru's dog right by her side, Naru told it to stay there with her before she left and he just stayed by her side since then.

She really didnt mind honestly, even though he was a dog it was well behaved and it was actually helping Y/n relax a bit especially since it left her pet it, a thing it didnt mind as its tail started to wiggle a little.

Y/n smiled as she continued to pet the gold animal but her attention was soon caught when her mother entered the tent.

The girl quickly got on her feet as she stood in front of the old woman.

When Taabe, her and Naru came back, the first thing they received after some hugs was a huge talk about how stupid they were to be out for so long without the proper training from their mother, but then she noticed right away as her children were more sad and queit than she expected and felt that something was wrong.

She quickly asked Taabe what happend and thats when he explained everything to her and the leader, in the meantime, Naru leaded Y/n in the tent as they quickly started to heard the mothers question fly in the air.

And now Y/n assumed Taabe finished to explain everything, she just watched her mother, guilt tripping over her as she remembered what happend just few hours before but still not regretting her choice.

"Mother im sorry i didn-"

Y/n was soon embraced in her mother arms before she could finish her sentence, surprise took over her as she felt her mother hand gently striking her back, something she would usually do when she was younger.

"Do not apologize my daughter, you made a great act of courage that many wouldnt have, you need to feel proud of yourself like i am right now"

The old woman spoke in a soft voice not letting go of her kid, she was shocked and confused when her oldest son told her the whole story, the creature that attcked her children, the strange men that tried to kill the monster and everything, but she soon frooze when Naru and Taabe reaveled how Y/n offered her life to save Taabes and the village asweel.

So she quickly went to the tent where Y/n was just wanting to hold her kid, she didnt take long before hugging her and starting to tell her how proud of her she was, she still didnt want to belive it but she knew her daughter needed her.

In less than seconds low sobs were heard in the tent, the sweet contact didnt break as Y/n just left her arms run along her body not having the force to bring them up, and just resting her forhead on top of her mother shoulder.

She was tired, scared and uncertain of the future, dont get her wrong, she would totally do that deal again, but that didnt mean she wasnt scared of that monster or what possible death she could encounter in the end.

The hug lasted a long time before its break, her mother quickly called her siblings and looked at each to treat their wounds.

Y/n sat down as she watched Naru flinch as her mother cleaned a cut on her hand.

"Aw the little girl cant stand some herbs"
Taabe teased the youngest while smiling a little.

"At least i didnt get caught by a trap that looked made by a 5 year old"
