Chapter 15

Yang Jungwon

" What.. The fuck?? " I cursed.

A zombie was shaking and snarling, but her feet didn't touch the ground.

Then a hand grabbed her mouth and twisted her head and dropped her dead.

I was surprised, I stared at the zombie on the ground. But my eyes widened when I saw the figure standing in front of me.

" Ha-Haneul? " Jake spoke up and everyone stopped what they were doing.

Jake wanted to go closer to Haneul but then suddenly zombies jumped from behind her, and everyone continued what they were doing.

Why are the zombies avoiding her?

All of us continued to fight back, Haneul joining us.

" Why are you guys not entering the rooftop!? What's wrong? " Haneul yelled.

" it's locked! " Heeseung shouted.

She cursed under her breath and ran to them. She kicked the door, it was a loud impact, which shocked us but it didn't open.

" Fucker! Open! Shit! " she yelled. After more tries, nothing.

But then after trying hundreds of time, Haneul was about to kick the door, when suddenly it unlocked, automatically.

She kicked the door open and fell to the ground.

" it's open! It's open! " Sunghoon shouted.

Me, Jake and Jay tried to run to the rooftop but Jay and I got pinned down by a zombie.

" get off of me you fuck! " Jay yelled, Jake turned around and tried to help us but he ended up trying to prevent a zombie from biting his own flesh.

The zombie's blood dropped on me and I felt like I was about to puke.

Then the zombie's head got pulled off of me, and was thrown to the stairs, I thought the zombie was completely off of me, but then I realized the zombie's body was still on me.

" Gross! " I yelled and quickly got up. I helped Jay and we ran to the rooftop.

" Close it. Close it! " Jinyoung shouted.
Haneul who was with us, and saved me, immediately ran to the door and locked it shut.

All of us calmed down and Haneul leaned on the door, slowly sitting on the ground.

" Fuck, hell yeah, we did it. " Jake chuckled.

" I'm so exhausted, I can't feel my legs. " Jay whined.

I was just sitting on the ground, and I noticed Haneul, slowly getting up and walking away to the corner.

Lee Haneul

I was standing at the edge of the rooftop and was stinking around my thoughts.

How long will I keep it from them?

Till we'll find help?

Till the soldiers or doctors find me and test me if I'm a human or a dead zombie?

I can't hide this for any longer...

" You okay? " I flinched at the voice that just popped out of nowhere.

" Hm? " I questioned and turned around, meeting Jungwon that wore a guilty look.

" kinda... Are you okay? " I replied.

" yes...? No..? I don't know. " He said, I stared at him confused and he stared back, after a few pause, he realized I was clueless.

" I'm sorry. " He mumbled. " for what? " I asked, still confuse.

" maybe for not trying to find you? For not doing anything, other than waiting. I was a big coward for that. " He responded.

He looked like he was serious, but me being me, I couldn't help my giggle. He stared at me confuse and I covered my mouth.

" sorry, sorry for laughing, but don't say sorry for that, you knew something was wrong with me, and no one would just put their lives at risk just to find someone they..um..just met?... Seriously, it's fine. To be honest if you were the one who walked out, I'll just try to survive for myself to be honest. "

No... I would've tried everything just to survive with you.

What? Uh? What the fuck did I just say?

" oh wow, tsk fine. " He said, sarcastically.

I laughed and He laughed with me.

" but really, seriously, it's fine, thank you for still leading the group though, and if you and the others hadn't went to the rooftop or wasn't that loud, I wouldn't have heard you guys and I wouldn't have seen you guys again. " I said.

He chuckled and walked towards me.

" and thank you for you know, earlier. If it wasn't for you, we could've died you know. " He smiled, and I smiled back.

" I guess it's fair, I'll thank you, you'll thank me. " I replied.

But then his face changed, as if he was very confuse about something.

" something bothering you? " I asked.

" it's just... Uh, I was confused, when you just arrived when there were many zombies, why was the zombies just avoiding you? Like they didn't do anything to you, but pass by? And when you were insanely strong by slamming your feet to the door and when you literally pulled the zombie's head off of its body. It kinda sounds like you're a zombie yourself. " He laughed, probably he meant the last sentence as a joke, but my smile slowly faded.

And after seconds his smile also faded, and his face expression changed like as if he just realized something bad. Which probably he did. He looked at me like he was waiting for a reply.

" Uh? Haneul? " a voice spoke from behind us, and we turned to look who it was and it was Heeseung.

" can I talk to you? " Heeseung said.

I stared at Jungwon and He stared back. I gulped and I broke eye contact and nodded.

" sure, let's talk... Alone. " I said, saying the last word staring at Jungwon.

He was hesitant to go, still waiting for his answer, but he just walked away. Still looking like something was bothering him.

I sighed and I looked at Heeseung. He smiled at Jungwon and slowly walked to me.

I stared at Jungwon while he was walking away and I sighed in relief that Heeseung came just in time..
