Chapter 10

Lee Haneul

It was already night, and I didn't know if it was already midnight or still ten pm.
I was still sitting on the back of the classroom and the others were quiet, I assume they're sleeping. I closed my eyes and lowered my head to my knees and tried to fell asleep.

Hungry....

My eyes widened, my heart was beating faster and I felt this tingling feeling inside my body.

I'm very hungry....

I felt my head slowly twitching and I couldn't control it. I felt like I was drifting away from my body, I couldn't control what I felt and what I can do.

" Haneul.. "

" Huh..? Who're you? "

" Haneul? " I snapped back from reality and I turned to look who was beside me and it was Jungwon, sitting beside me, I looked at him while I was breathing heavily, I was surprised and scared.
" Haneul..? You okay? " Jungwon raised his eyebrows. I paused for a moment and leaned my back to the wall.

" I don't know.. It depends. " I sighed and closed my eyes. " Is there something wrong? " He asked again. " No... Just hungry. " I answered. " Oh.. Ok.. " He suddenly went quiet, so I turned my head to him and he was just staring at the ceiling.
" Hey.. Why are you here? " I nudged his arm.
" Why not? " He grinned, I scoffed and rolled my eyes.

" But seriously, aren't you scared? " I asked him nervously. " Scared? Of what? " He raised his eyebrows, confused. " of me? " I said and he titled his head and looked confused.
" I mean, aren't you scared that the next few seconds I'll go crazy and suddenly bite your flesh of off your neck? " I told him and He suddenly laughed.

My eyebrows furrowed and I looked at him confused. " did I said something funny? " I asked him. " No, nothing, it's just that you look cute when you're panicking. " Jungwon chuckled. My eyes widened but I just rolled my eyes. " But No, why would I be scared of you, and plus if you really want to eat my flesh, you'll probably be doing it right now. " He added and I nodded, knowing that it made sense.

We both went quiet and I just kept staring at my hand, honestly it looked disgusting but my eyes always keep on staring at it. Jungwon then spoke up. " It looks swollen and-" " Gross, it looks like someone just smashed a hammer on it. " I chuckled and hugged my legs and burried my face.

Then I heard ripping sounds, like a cloth ripping. I turned to Jungwon and I saw him ripping out his own shirt. " What are you doing? " I asked him. " Here. " He smiled at me and took my hand.
He looked at my wound and wrapped his ripped cloth on my wound, making it look like a bandaid. While he was wrapping the cloth around my wound, I stared at him.

Even though it was dark, I could see this face so clearly. My face went hot and I feel like my heart would burst out any minute, I haven't noticed Jungwon was this handsome. I stared at his dark brown eyes, Jake was right. I looked inside his eyes and it was like two deep whirlpools that the longer you look at them the deeper you sink in. " Hey, I know I'm handsome. " Jungwon suddenly spoke up, my face got hot and my eyes widened.

" Uh.. What? " I asked him. " no need to stare, you can tell me I'm handsome. " Jungwon grinned. " What? No, Yang Jungwon you sound like a narcissist. " I chuckled and looked away. " Oh, Really? " He chuckled.
My heart started beating faster when he held my chin and made my look at him.

" If you won't, I'll compliment you first then.
Lee Haneul you're very beautiful, your eyes are as beautiful as the sky, somehow even if right now we're in a complete mess, you make me feel safe if you're not here I start to panic and feel anxious. " his hands cupped my jaw and he looked at me in the eyes.

I felt my heart was about to burst out but I kept the feeling to myself.

What the fuck is he doing to me?!

Why do I feel this way?!

Damn is it hot in here?

" Yah.. What are you on about? " I was just able to say that words. Jungwon's eyes furrowed and he just scoffed and laughed.
" That was practice. " He laughed and I found it funny so I laughed with him.
" you're weird. " I said. " Ouch. " He scrunched his nose and placed his hand on his chest, pretending to be hurt.

I giggled and he laughed. Suddenly I felt cold and I hugged myself and rubbed my hands together to make it less cold. " are you cold? " He asked, but I didn't want to admit it.
" What? No. It's not even that cold. "

I'm joking, I'm freezing to death right now.

Damn it, why does the skirts have to be so short?

" don't lie. " I rolled my eyes and didn't respond. Suddenly I felt something wrap around my body and I got confused. Jungwon's jacket was wrapped around my body.
" Here, I'll give you this right now. " Jungwon patted my back. Oddly, I immediately felt warmness around my body. " Uh.. Thank you...? " I flashed him a little smile.

Everything again went quiet.
" Jungwon-ah.. " I spoke up, he looked at me.
" do you think we'll get out of here alive? " I asked. " Depends, but I hope we'll get out alive. " He answered. I nodded slowly and continued to hug my knees.
" Yah.. Don't leave too soon okay? " He said.
" Same goes to you. " I chuckled and He flashed a smile.

Few minutes we were silent again, then both me and Jungwon stood up in panic when we heard shouting and yelling outside. Then someone slammed the door open and ran inside the door crashing into the chairs.
Both me and Jungwon took a step back and the others woke up in a panic.
" Yah! " I shouted but my eyes widened when I saw who it was...
