The clouds gets darker. I sence the rain is about to fall.
"I've been thinking a lot about what happened at the night of Ghyslain's party." Tyron says. "I can remember bits by bits." He continues. He seems very nervous. He looks down towards the street whilst holding the fence with an uneasy grip. "And I want you to know that I meant everything I said that night. It's just..."
"What, it's just what Tyron?" I utter. "What are you so afraid of."
"It's messed up Djimmy. You don't know what other people will think about this." He says. "I don't wanna keep hurting you all the time."
"I don't care what other people will think." I raise my voice. I can already feel tears are starting to form in my eyes as I go back to that mood again. "Just tell me one thing Tyron." I pause for a second. Looking into his eyes once again. "Do you like me? Like, like me like me?"
A moment of silence is experienced between us. In these few seconds my mind begins to think of the infinite possibilities that could happen after his response. Whatever he says might make me feel way worse than I'm already feeling.
