Charlie's POV
I wake up to Adam being gone. I shake my head and I look in the mirror. I mumble "oh my god." My torso is just covered in hickeys. I say "Adam Banks." I get ready then I leave my room, going to class. I see Jace and Scooter but no Adam. I sit in my normal spot then Adam walks in just before the bell.

I look at him and he smiles, handing me a Starbucks cup. I say "thank you" smiling and he says "you're welcome." I look at the order sticker and it says: hot chocolate. I smile and he winks at me. Adam says "so, I was thinking." I say "do you know what thinking is?" Adam says "yes, I do it a lot." I say "what we're you thinking?"

Adam says "since we wanted to do something relating to hockey, we could do our project on like sports mental health or something. Sports current events, mental health in sports, and all the controversy surrounding the World Cup right now." I say "and call it 'hockey players trying not to talk about hockey: episode one.'"

Scooter says "let's do that. I think once we get on and recording we will figure it out." I say "me too" and we start brainstorming different topics for us to talk about. I get through the day and practice, seeing Adam in passing as I go.

When varsity practice gets out, Adam doesn't come up here for another few hours. He lays on his old bed and faces me laying on my bed. He says "just saw my dad." I say "how was it, babe?" Adam mumbles "not good, sunshine. He wants me to come home for the weekend." I say "damn, I thought we were going to hang out this weekend."

Adam says "my brothers around this weekend, so I'll get to see him but god I hate the rest of my family" quietly. He gets up and comes over to cuddle me. He mumbles "I wish you could come with me" kissing my cheek. He rests his head just under my chin and tangled his legs with mine. I say "I can if you want."

Adam mumbles "sunshine, it's not that easy. I couldn't do that to you. My family really sucks as you know." I rub his back and he mumbles "I'm gonna call you, so keep your phone on, sunshine." I smile saying "ok" kissing his forehead. He gets up saying "oh baby" stretching, making me chuckle.

He takes his sweatshirt off, leaving him in a tight thin white tee shirt. He lays down and I curl into his side, resting my head on his chest. He sings quietly as his hand gently moves through my hair.

"Our song is a slamming screen door, staying out late, tapping on your window, when we're on the phone and you talk real slow cause it's late and your momma don't know. Our song is the way you laugh, The first date, "Man, I didn't kiss him, and I should have" and when I got home, 'fore I said, "Amen," asking God if he could play it again."

I bite my lip and I lean up to kiss him. This boy is so different around me than he is around anyone else. He sings pop country love songs on his free will and calls me sunshine and is pretty talkative. Around others he's quiet, reserved, and plays hockey. To others he just has a carry on attitude. To me, he is a free spirit. He does what he wants and lives in his own little world.

Adam kisses me and just sings quietly as he holds me. I kiss him slowly, his hand drifting down my body. I straddle his hips and he smiles against my lips. His hands move down to my ass and I bite his bottom lip softly. I blush at the feeling of his hands on me.

He holds me mumbling "if you fall asleep like this, you're gonna have to get up early with me." I mumble "I don't care, don't worry about it" quietly. He places soft kisses all over me as he sings quietly, making me fall asleep.

The next day

I wake up when Adam gently taps my back mumbling "come on, sunshine. Get up." I smile tiredly, slowly getting up. He takes his shirt off and kisses me. I rest my hands on his cheeks and he pulls my shirt off. He puts my shirt over his head and says "I gotta go to my room, I'll see you in an hour and a half." I say "mmm, yeah" looking at his lips then looking over his chest.

He kisses me a certain way just making me want a lot more from him wearing my tee shirt, if being a little tight on his muscular body. I want it all. He looks into my eyes and goes to walk out. I say "give me a little bit" and he flexes his arms, his back muscles flexing too.

He turns around, lifting his shirt, and flexing his abs. He winks saying "see you around, sunshine." I smile saying "bye." I smile, getting ready for the day. A shower included. I put his white tee shirt on and my sweatshirt over it. I go to class after just chilling for a bit.

I get to class and I say "when we're ready, where would you want us to record our podcast?" The teacher says "you can record in the room in the library." I look to the three varsity boys and I say "wanna go?" Adam says "sure" and we all go down to the library.

We sit down then we get going, using all our earbuds as microphones. We talk for the rest of class then a few more minutes before packing up. I smile at Adam then we go off to our next class, me thinking about him and when I'll see him again.
