Diane groans, open her eyes, and slowly sat up. She glances around the room and then narrows her eyes as they landed on the same man that told her off a few days ago in Gabriel's room. "You again?" She hissed. "Yeah, it's me again, how are you feeling?" "As if you care." She snaps sitting on the edge of the bed. "I wouldn't be here if I didn't." "What are you here? What do you want from me?" She asks in an irritated tone.

"Do you have another mirror you wish for me to stare into again?" "No, I'll let you do that in your own time. I'm here because I'm tired of watching you act like a delicate, helpless damsel in distress. Samson didn't marry a delicate little flower, he married a warrior." She snorts before speaking. "When I acted like a warrior and stood for what I believed in you all called me a bitch."

"Oh no, that was not you acting like a warrior, that was you acting like a tyrant. Being a warrior means standing for what you believe in while still respecting your family, what part of what you did at the church that day were you respecting your family?" He asks. She didn't respond, instead, she held down her hear head and began biting her lips.

"Yeah, thought so, now, your blood pressure is dangerously high which means that both you and your unborn child are in danger, so you need to fix that and fast." "And how exactly am I supposed to do that? As you can see I'm under a lot of pressure right now, it's not as if I want to be fainting all the time." She fumes.

"It may help to drop some of that resentment you've been dragging around with you all the time and since you have no idea how to fix your pressure problem I hope you won't mind trying one of my solutions." "Which is what? Another lecture?" She snorts.

"No, this." He said taking a bottle from his bag. "It's a tonic made specially by Mrs. Jackson, it's supposed to regulate your blood pressure while strengthening your body and immune system." He said, then taking off the cover he pours some into the cover and drink it. "Just in case you thought I was trying to poison you or something." He chuckles handing her the bottle.

"I'm not drinking that, what if it hurts my babies." "This is specially designed for pregnant women and trust me. It's either this or the boatload of drugs they will no doubt be pushing at you in the coming days, which can still cause harm to your babies. The choice is yours."

"I have no idea who you are and you seriously expect me to drink that?" she snorts. "As I said before, the choice is yours and all you need to know is that I'm on your side." "And what do you get out of all this?" she asks, "Me? Well, I get to see my friend happy and in love with his wife again, instead of sad and depressed all the time."

"Are you married?" She asks. "Yes, I married the love of my life, my soul mate, my heartbeat, my best friend and we have a handsome pair of identical twins." He said showing her a picture of him and his boys.

"Oh, so you're not one of them but you're married to one of them aren't you?" "What made you say that?" He asks. "Because your boys are Indians and you're an American." She states. "Okay, you got me, I'm married to one of them." He laughs.

"And I'm really on your side, and yes, you fucked up pretty badly but come on, enough of the wallowing in regret, it's time to step back in the ring and fight for your family, and yes people will come at you hard from all sides but instead of being defensive, own up to your part in this but also let them know that you're his wife and you're not going anywhere. Trust me, I know all too well how it feels when people think that you don't deserve to be with the one you love." He huffs then continues.

"When they think that they're too good for you, or that you'll drag them down or prevent them from rising to their full potential, thing is, they choose us, they pledge their life to us, we're their choice, so whether or not we feel like we deserve them we have to spend every day making sure that they don't regret their choice. Do you understand?"

"Yeah, I do, it's just that, I'm not sure where to go from here, everyone hates me and I can't blame them." "As I said, you fucked up, but you can bounce back from this." "How?" "Will you allow me to guide you?" "Why would you?" "I think I already answer that question, I want to see my friend happy again. So will you climb down off your twenty-foot horse and let me help you?" He asks.

"Okay." She says softly. "Good, now first step, drink the damn tonic and lay down for half an hour because you're about to fight the hardest battle you've ever fought in your life but it will be worth it in the end." He chuckles.

"It's been a long day," Scott says flopping down beside Jasmine. "You can say that again." "So, how are you feeling now?" He asks. "Well, not as angry as I was this morning, and even though it's going to take some time for me to fully forgive her, I'm willing to try." She says with a heavy sigh.

"That's my girl." He hugs her, "Whatever I can do to help, just let me know." He says. "Okay, were you able to get my notes from today?" She asks. "Have we met? Of course, I did and your homework for tomorrow." Opening his school bag he took out her notes and hand them to her. "Okay, I'll write these down and do my homework, then I'm going to need a dance session to work off the rest of my frustration." She says.

"Alright then, what song were you thinking of?" "Hmm, (Silver spoon, by BTS)." "Good choice, come on, let's go to the dining table, it's more comfortable there, I'll finish up my assignment while you do your bookwork." "Scott honey, you've had a long day at school, take a break, and eat something before you tackle those books again." Mrs. Jackson suggests as she passed by.

"Okay, aunty." He smiles at her, putting down his pen he followed her to the kitchen.
