Scott entered the drawing-room and saw Gavin putting together one of his puzzles. "Hi Gavin, how are you holding up?" Scott asks. "Welcome back, as to how I'm doing? Well, I'm super worried about my father but I'm hanging in there, trying to be strong for my mother and sisters." Gavin says with a sigh.
"Gavin, you're nine years old, you don't need to be strong for anyone, we're the adults, we'll be strong for you and your sisters." "Says the boy who just turned eighteen." Gavin snorts. "On the other hand, I get what you're saying, I'm still just a kid and I should act like one, right?" "Exactly." Scott nods.
"While that might be true, I'm also the man of the house now that my father is in the hospital. Gabby is in a fragile state right now and she needs her brother's strong shoulders to cry on, not to mention that my mother is racked with worry and guilt and the last thing she needs right now is to be worrying about us. I told her to focus on father and not to worry about us." Gavin picks up a piece of the puzzle and fits it into place.
"As you get older you're going to realize that telling parents not to worry about their kids, is like telling them not to breathe. So, while Gabby is crying on your shoulders, who's shoulders will you be crying on?" Scott asks. "Yours, when I need to, of course. Speaking of which, today is a school day, so why are you here instead of in school?" Gavin asks in a stern tone that surpasses his years.
"I got permission to skip the first period, I wanted to check in on you guys first since you got time off from school to deal with your dad's accident." "Oh, thank you, do you know if Jasmine is at school?" Gavin asks. "Yes, she is," Scott replied. "How is she?" "Still seething mad at her mother," Scott says.
"Hmm, I see, it's easy to get mad and it's easy to stay mad, it takes the unconditional love of God and the patience of Job to forgive, My mother isn't perfect but I love her and I forgive her for all she has done and I want Jasmine to do the same," Gavin says fitting another piece of the puzzle into place.
"Yeah, that's going to take a minute." Scott snorts. "In the meantime is there any way you could convince her to return home, we need her here, I need her shoulders as well as yours." Gavin bites his lips with a sigh.
"I'll do my best to convince her." "Thank you, now hurry along, first period is almost over." "Alright man, call me if you need me." "I will and thanks again for stopping by."
Diane fiddle with the straps on her dress as she sat in the garden area of the hospital waiting for the doctors to finish examining her husband. Her first idea was to wait outside his room door but then she felt faint, as if she couldn't breathe so she decides to get some fresh air while she wait.
She was still trying to wrap her mind around everything his aunt had said and looked at the book that hold his daily schedule didn't make it any easier.
How could one person do all that in one day and still made time for his family? And how is it that he never seem tired when he got home in the evenings? If he did all that, answer all those calls, and return all those emails why was he never tired? How was she to know his life was so hectic when he made it look so easy and where did he find the time to visit those people?
"Speak of the devil." She growls under her breath when she saw Janice, Tyler's wife walking towards the entrance of the hospital. Getting up she storms towards the woman. Gabriel was always at this woman's house visiting his friends as he put it.
Here she was with breast-like Pamela Anderson's, a butt that would make J Lo jealous and curves in all the right places, and she wasn't bad looking either, how could her husband not be attracted to this woman? And why did all these women have something she didn't? Karen was tall and slender like a model with long beautiful processed hair and fair skin and nowhere was this short curvaceous sex doll and they were all after her man, trying to replace her. "We'll see about that," Diane growls stepping in front of Janice blocking her path.
