The Day of The Founders Day Ball
Rosemary's P.O.V"I can't do it." I shake my head at myself, looking down at the dress lying on the bed. This was a bad idea. Why did I agree? Out of my 22 years living in Abyssford I never went to any of the founders day balls.
"This is crazy." I continue to talk to myself, walking back and forth across the room with my hands on the back of my neck. "I can't even dance! Oh God...that's right, I can't even dance." This realization makes me more nervous.
"I'll be a clumsy mess." I say as I stop and look down at the dress again, and the shoes I bought. It's so so beautiful though, and I don't usually like wearing fancy things.
I frown, "That's it, I'm gonna-" I start to say as I turn around, but suddenly, someone grabs my by my arms when I turn around.
"No, you are not going to get a cookie." Gabriel cuts off my sentence. I swallow hard, craning my neck all the way back so I can look up to him-since we are chest-to-chest. Wait...damn. He knows me too well.
"But I-" "No, try on the dress." Gabriel says, turning me around and walking me towards the bed. I whine dramatically, looking down at the dress.
"Come on." Gabriel sits on the edge of my bed, crossing his arms. I frown at him, but can't be mad with how adorable he looks. Is it bad I think a demon is adorable? And I don't just think he's adorable. He's hot, sexy, handsome, cute, attractive, gorgeous, inhuman, broad, alluring, fine-
"Stop eye-fucking me and get your ass in the bathroom." Gabriel's voice breaks me out of the gawking I didn't know I was doing.
My eyes widen and I'm pretty sure my cheeks turn beet red when he says that; Especially with the little smirk on his face. I laugh nervously before picking up the dress and running off to the bathroom.
I can't believe I'm actually doing this.
I mumble random things under my breath as I take off my clothes and put on the dress.
Chrissy actually gave me the dress about an hour ago. She said that she dropped Lyssa off her dress yesterday afternoon, but wanted to wait to give me mine so she could curl my hair for me. I pulled it back with the curls, but I'll let it down as soon as I have the dress on. I don't have my hair down very often, as I am usually in business-rosemary mode.
It takes a good few minutes, but I finally get the dress on, and the shoes. I can't see much of myself in the dress because of the small bathroom mirror, but I let my hair down anyway. I put on some mascara, and a little lip gloss, but that's about it. I wouldn't say I have a skin allergy, but let's just say my skin doesn't take too well to makeup. I put any of it on my face and my face breaks out and turns red for two days. So unfortunately I can't wear anything like foundation, eyeshadow, highlighter, or anything like that. I can't even use certain lotions, shampoos, or face masks.
I finally pick up the courage to step out of the bathroom. I turn the handle and anxiously step out, keeping my eyes trained on the floor till I have the courage to look up. But as soon as I look up...I catch a beautiful reaction from Gabriel.
Gabriel sits there, eyes trained everywhere on my body. His mouth is slightly parted, his whole face relaxed, and this adoring look in his eyes that makes me want to smile. But then again I could be mistaking it for the dress is definitely not working with me.
"Do I look ok?" I ask, now getting worried because he's not saying anything.
Gabriel's P.O.V
I sware, as soon as Rosemary stepped out of that bathroom...my heart stopped again.
I will be honest and say I have met many beautiful woman over the last 100 years, and seen them dressed quite nicely, but Rosemary...Rosemary tops all of them off. She's fucking beautiful.
