A Few Days Later...
Rosemary

You know, it's actually scary now, knowing Gabriel isn't here watching over me. What if I do somehow accidentally kill myself?

I groan as I lean back in my office chair, looking up at the cieling. It's just a normal day at the office, but it feels like it's moving really slow. I actually have an appointment with Alex next, so I'm looking forward to that. And Lyssa is stopping by when I get off. She said she has something important to tell me. Chrissy has been oddly very estatic today, telling me it's about what Lyssa is going to tell me; so that kind of scares me. I don't know whether it's a good or bad thing considering Chrissy is excited about it.

"Ms. Collins, Alex Carlton is here." I hear Tom's voice. I quickly sit up straight, looking at the door. I think I was zoned out for a second.

I nod, "He can come in." I move my coffee cup out from infront of me and set it to the side so I will be able to see Alex. These office desks are too tall for my liking, and height-wise, I am below average.

Alex walks in a second later, actually looking pretty relaxed, almost happy. His head is held higher than it usually is. Alex meets eyes with me right before he sits down and gives a little smile. Hm, he seems in a good mood.

"Well you seem to be in a pretty good mood." I say as I place my hands together and down on the desk, giving him a smile. Alex shrugs, but I think I can see a smile pulling at his lips.

"Anything interesting happening?" I ask. Alex thinks about something for a good 15 seconds before nodding his head. Hm. "Would it have anything to do with a Ms. Ariel?" Alex can't help the smile that comes on his face after I say that. I let out a chuckle. Awh.

Alex looks out at the window, "She messaged me yesterday, asking to meet up. Y'know, since the last day of school was on the 25th." I nod. Ah, Alex is gonna be a seinor this year.

"So...what happened when you met up? At least I'm assuming you agreed to meeting up with her."

Alex nods his head, "I didn't at first, and I told her I didn't want a 'WANTED' sign hanging over my head after Cameron found out we met up-" I chuckle, "But she actually told me they broke up the day before. I agreed to meet her in the park. We walked around and talked, first just about random things. Then we got to what is currently going on..." I lean in closer, getting more into the story. Maybe that's why I actually became a therapist; I just love listening to other peoples drama. Oh lord what is wrong with me?

Alex continues, "I asked why she broke up with Cameron. She told me that it was a long time coming, but he crossed the line when he accused her of cheating on him...with me." My eyes widen. Oh wow. Shit just got real.

"Ariel then asked about that day in the locker room, and asked what actually happened. She told me she didn't think I would start a fight for no reason. I...I told her the truth, followed by the damdest thing. She kissed me, then freaked out and said she was sorry, and actually ran away from me. I ran after her and found her talking to herself behind a tree. Long story short, we're going on a date this Friday."

...oh?

I sit there, just staring at Alex for a long second. That's...that's the sweetest thing I've ever heard.

My dramticness comes in, and I begin to cry. Alex looks at me like I'm nuts for a second, before laughing.

"I'm sorry, that's just so sweet! You two better hold onto each other." I say, wiping a tear from my cheek with my sleeve. Alex shakes his head, smiling at me, before we continue to talk about everything currently going on in his life. He also is apparently starting to look for colleges to go to. He wants to go somewhere close to home.
