I lay awake again in my bed tonight, on the verge of tears. It's pretty normal for me. I cry every few weeks; kind of just break after a build up of emotions...

Tonight, I find myself crying after realizing I will never find true love like you see in the movies and the books. People just aren't really like that. And the world is too... the world, for stuff like that to happen to someone like me.

Someone who is broken. Someone with no family, no true happiness, and no purpose to be here. Why am I here?

I sniffle again as I pause the TV, the movie finally finished. Don't judge me, but the movie that has me crying is Tangled. I finally watched it after my 21 years of being on this earth. Plus, my friend Lyssa has been telling me it is the greatest disney movie ever. So I just had to watch it.

I need a man like Flynn Ryder.

I turn off the TV and roll over on my side, looking out the window as I stay laying on my bed. The sky is pretty tonight. It's a crescent moon, and the stars are out. Usually, I would sleep on the little bay window couch when the sky looks like this... but I am too lazy to get up.

I feel myself slowly drifting off as the tears slowly make their way out of my eyes. Tomorrow is another day. Tomorrow will be a better day.

A sudden warmth covers my body, and I find myself not being sad anymore...

I exhale loudly, curl into a ball, and let sleep take over...

The Next Morning...

I continue to race around my room as I try and collect all my belongings for work. Shit shit shit I'm going to be late!

I finally collect all my stuff and put it in my purse... but I can't find my wallet.

I groan loudly as I speed off into the kitchen, throwing my purse over my shoulder. I sware, I don't know how I throw my work stuff all over the house within just a few hours.

My phone suddenly rings. My luck...

I set my purse down on the counter, digging through it frantically to find my phone.

Once I finally find it, I answer, "Hello?" My voice comes out sounding out of breath. Jesus.

"Hey? You ok? You sound like you just ran a marathon." Lyssa says, sounding amused.

I chuckle, still looking around for my wallet, "Yeah, I basically have ran a marathon all throughout my house. I'm supposed to be at work in 10 minutes and I still can't find my wallet. I overslept." I admit sheepishly. I can already tell what she's about to say...

Lyssa chuckles, "Were you up watching romance movies again?" Yep. She always knows.

I laugh nervously, rubbing the back of my neck as I make my way back to my room, "What? No... I actually went to sleep really early last night." I lie, feeling nauseous.

Lyssa is quiet for a second. "Rosemary." "Hm?" "You're a horrible liar." I groan loudly. I stop in the doorway of my bedroom when I see what lay on my bed. My...wallet. Whatthehell...

I cautiously approach the bed, slowly picking up the wallet as I look around suspiciously. "Ok spirits, thank you... very kind of you. But...uh...bye!" I say, grabbing my wallet and running out of the room.

"What the-" I hear Lyssa, sounding confused, through the phone. I sigh. I feel bad for her. She has to deal with me.

"Nothing, I found my wallet." I say.

"That's good. Where was it?"

"Just on the bed."

Lyssa laughs at me. "Of course it was, Rosemary. Have a good day, I should be getting to work, myself." We say our goodbyes and our 'I love you's before hanging up the phone. That wallet definitely wasn't there the whole time. Stuff like this happens too often.
