Daphne didn't know what to do.
She wasn't sure to keep hiding the dream she once had as a secret. Should she even tell someone about it? At the same time, she didn't want to tell many people about it. It would make her heart ache a little, talking about it. Especially Zee, Zuzy, and Pony. It would take courage for her to tell them. She knew well how they would felt. They would want her back, uninfected, and alive.
Daphne wanted that too. However, she knew that Zizzy wouldn't come back to reality. Why would Zizzy tell her to save her tears? Even when she was suffering deep down as well? How could Daphne get through that?
Ever since Zizzy had been infected, Daphne always kept telling everyone that she was fine. She kept her emotions locked in. At times, she even locked herself in her room. Probably longer than Pony doing so.
At the moment, Daphne sat down in her room, trying to think of what to do. She then glanced at the window. She stood up from where she was sitting and walked up to the window. She placed her hand on the glass.
When Zizzy had mentioned the fact that two people were possibly coming her way, Daphne didn't know what to say. In fact, she had so many questions. Who were these people? Did she know them herself? Why were they here? Suddenly, Daphne's thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. She thought it was Willow, but she wanted to make sure first. "Who is it?" Daphne asked.
"It's Mimi, Daphne. Can I come inside?"
"Mimi? Oh yeah, sure. You can come in."
The door opened, revealing a mole. She closed the door behind her, then making eye contact with the female. "I just wanted to see how you were doing. You've been shutting yourself out for a week now. Usually, you're not like that, and you're usually around us pretty often." Mimi then pointed out. Daphne froze for a second. Did Pony or Willow tell her about this?
"Don't tell me someone told you about that..." Daphne began, not even glancing at the mole. Mimi then shook her head slowly. "No, no one told me anything. Everyone's been noticing this. I just wanted to make sure that everything's okay." Mimi stated, slightly worried for the female. Despite Daphne seeing her as the intelligent one and the tech geek, Mimi was actually really sweet, and cared about everyone else.
Daphne sighed softly. She had told Mimi herself that she was doing fine. But now, she was unsure to tell her what was on her mind. "I.... I guess I can tell you what's on my mind." Mimi nodded slowly, and walked over to the window, now standing next to Daphne. "Of course. You can tell me anything. I'm your friend."
Daphne smiled slightly. However, her expression turned serious afterwards. "But after telling you what's going on, promise me that you won't tell anyone about this until the right time." Mimi stared at her for a few seconds. The mole then nodded quickly. "I'll keep it a secret. But why exactly?"
"I'll explain that later. For now, I need you to listen."
Mimi nodded quickly. She looked at her, letting her know she was listening. However, Daphne still stared at the window, not looking at her. "Mimi... a couple of days ago, I had this dream. I never had the courage to tell anyone about this." Mimi was confused. She was even more curious about this.
"Wait, what's so important about the dream anyway?" Daphne took a deep breath, letting it out. This was going to take courage for her to tell her.
"Because I saw Zizzy in that dream." Mimi's eyes widened in complete shock. She couldn't believe this at all. "What? Zizzy? Please tell me you're joking right now." Daphne still kept that serious expression. She then sighed.
"Do I look like I'm joking about this?"
Mimi always saw Daphne as the genuine, honest, but a quiet type of person. So, it was shock to hear this from the human female. "How? How is that possible? She was infected, was she?"
