⇝ Metkayina ClanAmiryat wanted to believe her father when he told her everything was okay, but his worst enemy was out there waiting to attack again and he was afraid that they won't be ready, he was absolutely terrified about losing one of his kids its a nightmare he wishes to never come true.
"This thing, Quaritch, whatever he is, he can walk right in here under Eywa' nose."
Their parents had been arguing since they returned, Tuk peeked right underneath the cloth that hugged their home, trying to understand what they were fighting about. Kiri bought a finger to her lips once her brothers appeared from behind.
"This is our family, this is our home." Neytiri told him, as Amiryat pressed her ear again the tent. "This is our family, it's about our little ones." Jake reasoned.
"I can not, you can not ask this." Neytiri moved around grabbing a red bag. "I would not leave my people, I will not."
"He's hunting us, he's targeting our family—"
"You can not ask this." Neytiri cut him off, standing up. "The children, everything they've ever known, the forest! This is our home!" She cried to him, Amiryat reached out squeezing Tuk hand when she moved away from the tent into her arms.
"He had our children, he had them right under his knife." Jake clenched his jaw. Neytiri inhaled moving to her bow. "My father gave me this bow as he lay dying. He said protect the people. You're Toruk Makto!"
"This will protect the people. Quaritch has spider and that kid knows everything." Neteyam glanced at his siblings, their father was right, spider could easily snitch them out. "He knows our whole operation, he can lead them right in here. If the people harbor us, they will die. Do you understand?"
Neytiri stepped back staring down, her husband was right, "I got nothing, I got no plan," his shoulders dropped slightly. "but I can protect this family, that I can do." Jake inched closer seeing the pressure his wife held. "But I know one thing, wherever we go this family is our fortress."
—
It was hard to say goodbye to the people, everything around them was home and they were leaving to protect them, it was a wise choice and a choice no one liked. Their grandmother stayed back to take care of the people, Jake was strip of his name, he was no longer Toruk Makto of Olo'eyktan.
Amiryat admired her how strong her mother truly was though she was sad about having to leave her home, the place where she grew up, Amiryat turned back at her home for the last time, as the sun began to settle down and the air grew stronger, they had left the forest and were traveling on their ikran' and it wasn't easy for the first couple of days, some days it would rain or it would be windy but they managed.
