I could see the lightening of the cell through my closed lids, but I did not open my eyes. Then, I heard the door open. Was this it. Were the mercenaries here to take me to be burnt? I tried to lay still and pretend that I was still in a deep sleep. I would surprise whoever it was and try to escape. But as time passed, the rough hands I was expecting did not come. Perhaps it was the Minister paying me one last visit? I opened my eyes slowly and all I could see was an open cell. Was it some sort of trap?

I pushed against the wall, silently sliding upright. Quietly I placed one foot in front of the other, inching toward the door. I could hear and see nothing. I peered carefully out the doorway, stepping out and looking in both directions. I glanced back into the cell, quickly returning to the bed, leaving some of the maps I had drawn. It was on my way out that I noticed the floor near the door marked in light. I knelt down; TURN LEFT, LAST ELEVATOR. EXIT B-3. GRATE. FOLLOW LIGHT.
