As I made my way out of one of the cleaning tunnels, he was there waiting. Relief flooded his face and he embraced me before I could even greet him.
"What happened? Are you alright?" He whispered hastily in my ear.
'Well, if you let go, I will tell you what happened," I replied with a laugh.
I told him that I had been caught, but managed to escape. How did I escape? I wondered who had set me free and why. I did not tell him that the Minister has personally visited me.
Owen had waited behind, whilst Art and Clarence had returned to stay in a safe house in the city with the medical supplies, with the intention of returning to the settlement on their own if Owen and I did not return in a day. Owen smiled at me, "That means we can make our way back alone."
