Twenty three

in the next week they got the group back together to go out to dinner. it would be the first time juniper would've seen ollie since her and emerson we're officially together.

she knew she shouldn't be worried about past relationships when she was in such a great one, but it made her nervous. maybe he'd judge her, maybe he wouldn't be as supportive as she always thought.

but when they arrived she soon realize that he wasn't as judgement as she'd thought. in fact he was more focused on avery. the group would soon learn that they were official too.

they seemed like a sweet couple, and they all knew how sweet he was to juniper. this get together was really just catching up on the passed few months. they were all so busy with their new relationships that they kind of forgot about each other.

dinner was a little awkward to start, mainly because they hadn't seen each other in a while. but as they warmed back up to each other they couldn't stop talking.

it was just like months ago, jokes and laughs being passed around the table. embarrassing memories being bought up to the new ones in the bunch. overall it was a good time, even if it were just a little awkward at some times.

"so, back to my house? watch some movies?" emerson asked while walking to her car.

"yeah, you're house is fine... but do you have any good snacks?" archi asked.

"what do you mean good snacks? my snacks are good." she scoffed.

"uhh okay, we're gonna stop by walmart and get a few things." archi chuckled while tapping the hood of emerson's car, ollie just laughed and continued walking with avery to their car.

"are my snacks bad?" she asked while helping juniper in the car.

"not bad, just... interesting." she shook her head while closing the door.

"why am i just now hearing about how interesting my snacks are?" she mumbled before starting the car and driving home.

it took about thirty minutes before everyone arrived at emerson's house, archi and finn getting snacks and a few drinks. ollie and avery picked up a few card games from their house to bring and that would be the day.

it was around 9:30 and the house was winding down, they weren't tired yet, just relaxing while watching movies.

"i think we should head home, i still have to take you home." ollie said while lightly brushing his fingers through avery's hair. avery livid about forty five minutes out from everyone.

emerson pressed a kiss to junes head before standing to walk them out. emerson waved the two off before walking back inside.

"finn is sleeping." she whispered to archi, who was very immersed in the movie.

"you guys could take the guest room." juniper offered, standing up to grab them some fresh blankets.

"whatever you left in here the last time you stayed should still be here, i didn't touch it." emerson said while gently pulling the blanket off of finn so it wouldn't drag the floor.

"thanks." archi whispered, softly rubbing finns back as he stirred in his sleep.

"goodnight." juniper said in a whisper shout. she smiled as emerson's arms snacked around her hips,

"hi." she smiled and tilted her head back to see the other.

"hi my love." emerson said softly, spinning june around to face her.

"i love our friends and all, but being alone with you is just so much better." she pressed their lips together while her hands massaged junes hips.

"i think we should go to the room." juniper said after pulling away from emerson.

"i think we should." emerson replied, resting her hand on junipers lower back to lead her to the room. june sat on the edge of the bed as emerson closed their door, eventually crawling over her.

"i don't want to do anything tonight, i just.. want to kiss you." emerson said as her hand ran up junes body, resting against her cheek.

"that's okay with me." she smiled and tilted her head up to finally connect their lips. this wasn't something they did often, just taking in each other without it being sexual. just kisses of love, appreciation and affection.

" i am so in love with you, juniper adler... i can't picture a life without you in it.. wether we are just friends, or girlfriends... maybe wives one day, i hope you'll always be in my life." juniper didn't have time to answer before emerson's lips were back against hers, her hands against her cheeks.

"baby." juniper said as they separated to catch their breath.

"yes ma'am?" emerson said back and laid her head against junes chest.

"i think we should get married some day." emerson hummed in agreement.

"and then we'd buy a house together... once we are out of our current ones and everything." her hands brushed through emerson's hair.

"we could get a puppy, raise him like he's our own kid."

"maybe we could have a kid of our own one day." emerson said while looking at juniper.

"maybe." juniper smiled, rubbing her thumb against emerson's cheeks.

"a sweet little girl, running around with us... we could all match, and i'll learn how to do her hair." emerson smiled at the idea, laying her head against junes chest.

"that sounds like so much fun." juniper cooed, rubbing her back as they thought about the idea more. after an hour they seemed to have the next ten years all planned out, and really.. it made them even more excited to be with each other.
