"No it hurts, go gentle," I looking back at the most ungentle person ever.

I have a job interview in a few hours and I thought Kendall helping with my hair was a good idea. Yeah, I was wrong. She's trying to put my hair into a slick bun, but the girl's barely wetting it enough to make that happen.

"I'm trying, okay? Let me get Hala real quick," Kendall pats my head like I am a puppy before bouncing out the door. There's a potential chance I'll be late for my interview but my hair is more important, it's gotta look good. I drop my head onto the table and feel myself drift back to sleep.

"Alex?" I hear someone whisper, a soft hand gently rubbing my back,

I was having such a good dream,

"I'm sorry love, but you've gotta get ready," Hala's voice is smooth and sweet, and the way she massages my shoulders has me wanting to melt. I shrug but nod like the half-asleep zombie I am.

"I already picked out your outfit," she continues running water through my hair before quickly brushing it into the neatest bun, slipping a cute black Prada hair accessory. I'm saved.
