Mistakes don't come with two ingredients stacked like that, working together like that. Somebody had to have done this on purpose, someone with access to Lev's medical records and prescriptions. This realisation makes her hands actually shake a little. She takes a few more photos and puts the clipboard back.

There are two nurses behind the counter in the middle of the infirmary, one scrolling on her phone like she's done with her work for the day while the other's typing with a friendly but sugary smile that feels like a backhanded compliment in human form.

"Hey. Could I ask you a question?" Alex asks leaning on the counter. The first nurse doesn't even glance up, nor does she even bother to answer. Alex doesn't even pay attention to her and just looks at the other nurse, who shows her that sickeningly sweet smile.

"Sorry, sweetheart, all questions go to the doctor." Alex nods, thanks her anyway, and heads off to find them. She finds the doctor fairly easily and with no greeting or acknowledgment goes straight to it, holding the clipboard out like evidence.

"Why is he on medication he's allergic to?" The doctor barely glances at it, jaw tight.

"I can't discuss a patient's treatment plan with someone who isn't authorised." Fair.

"I'm not asking as staff, I'm asking as ur boss's carer, this could kill him."

"Get authorisation from someone with actual standing in this house. One of the capos or The Don or Donna themselves. Anybody with a real say. Then we'll talk." He says, cold and final, already turning back to whatever he was doing before she walked into his cramped dusty little office.

Alex doesn't waste time being offended, just pivots straight to finding them, moving fast through the place. That urgency is exactly what makes her hear a couple of the soldiers posted around the corner talking about her, not even bothering to lower their voices.

Alex walks more slowly to hear every word of it, jaw tight, refusing to give either of them the satisfaction of a reaction. She's had worse said to her by better people and she's not about to let a couple of bored soldiers with nothing better to do ruin her day.

She's halfway to an office with DON in big letters on the door when one of them says, loudly on purpose, "Somebody remind her what she actually is around here," followed by a massive guy stepping into her path outta nowhere. He is Big, armoured, ugly, with an even uglier attitude and breath that could knock out a whole room.

"Excuse me," She sidesteps him. He steps right back into her way.

"Where do you think you're going?"

"Somewhere that's none of your business," she shoots back, slightly getting annoyed at everyones snobbery and attitude in this place. He grabs her arm. Hard.

"Get your hands off me." Even now, she tries to stay polite about it, tugging her arm to pull free. He grips down harder, clearly trying to leave a mark, a little reminder, and though it hurts like hell, she doesn't give him the satisfaction of showing it, just stands her ground and stares him dead in the eye, daring him to grip tighter if he thinks it's gonna do something.

He's about to when Santiago comes out of the office she was walking toward, Sebastian and Dilara are right behind him with Niko trailing last. Their faces that are usually locked into this wall of intimidation warm up the second they see her. Dilara's already crossing the distance, arms open before Alex even fully realises.

"Ahí está." There she is. She says it like Alex is one of the best parts of her whole day. Alex hugs her melting into it, "How are you doing, Alex?"

"I've been better, honestly," she answers discreetly pulling her sleeve down to cover her bruise. No one notices thankfully so she fist bumps Niko and Santiago and hugs Seb since she hasn't seen him in a bit.
