14. Look at all of those pumpkins

LOUIS

"That's yummy, right?" Louis asked Milo.

Milo was sitting on his chair looking at Louis intently while he tasted the applesauce he had put in his mouth. He looked so cute like that, like he was trying to decide if he actually liked it or if was going to spit it up.

The final decision was that he liked it.

"Good baby" Louis praised and he put some more in the small spoon and offered it to him "You want more?".

Milo opened his mouth and the young father had to smile at his son, he was such a smart little boy.

"Here we go" Louis said and he put the spoon inside the baby's mouth.

They continued like that until Milo had eaten his entire portion.

"Good job Milo" Louis smiled at him and kissed his forehead "Now stay there for a bit while papa cleans, alright? Do you want a toy?".

Milo complained and he lifted his arms for Louis to pick him up.

"Not yet peanut" Louis said while he grabbed a toy and he put it in Milo's hand "Play with that for a minute, okay?".

Milo held it and immediately brought it in his mouth, which was what he always did with toys when he didn't have a dummy. It was a chewing toy after all, so Louis just let him do that, he kissed his forehead again and he started collecting the dirty dishes from breakfast and a couple that had been left from last night and he began washing them. He was doing that when Milo made a whining noise and when Louis looked at him he saw that he had dropped the toy on the little table attached to his chair and he was making grabby hands at him.

"Just five more minutes Milo" Louis told him.

But the baby didn't want to wait and he started opening and closing his hands in his direction, desperately trying to reach his papa, while he made little complaining noises.

"Baby I'll get you in a second" Louis said and turned back to the dishes to try to finish quickly "You need to be patient".

That's when Milo screamed and when Louis looked at him again he was crying, but he was still trying to reach Louis while he kicked his legs angrily.

"Milo don't do that" Louis said as he rinsed the dish soap from his hands to go get him.

"What's wrong?" Harry said appearing in the kitchen and going straight to the baby and he took him from the chair "Why are you crying love?".

Milo calmed down in Harry's arms immediately, he truly just wanted to be held and Louis felt a little bad for making him wait.

"You just wanted daddy, didn't you?" Harry asked him as he bounced him a little.

Harry was just wearing boxers and his hair was dripping, which meant he had just come out of the shower when he heard Milo scream.

"He wanted to be held" Louis explained as he went back to finish the dishes.

"And papa was being a meanie and was making you wait, wasn't him?" Harry asked Milo.

"Don't tell him that" Louis scolded turning to look at them again "I was washing the dishes, and he has to learn that he can't get everything he wants right away".

"But he can get everything he wants whenever he wants it" Harry cooed while he rubbed their identical noses together.

"You spoil him too much Haz" Louis commented going back to what he was doing.

"Well that's why I'm here for, right peanut?" Harry asked "To spoil you when papa's being mean".

"Stop telling him I'm mean" Louis protested.
