Chapter 6

The next day, the group were on their way to Hank's lab and when they did they found a note that said "Gone to the airbase, bring the crate marked X Hank". When Charles opened the door, everyone was met with  trashed lab.

"It looks like a bull was let lose in here" Laura mumbled to herself, as she walked deeper into the lab.

"What the hell happened here?" Erik wondered, watching as Charles walked over to the crate. The others soon followed, and looked to see their uniforms. The colours were dark blue and yellow, except for one. It was black and silver.

"Hank has been busy" Erik voiced with a smirk.

"Do we really have to wear these? And why do you get a different one?" Alex complained, looking to a very smug Laura.

"When Hank told me about the uniforms and the colours, i threatened to rip his eyes out if he made me wear yellow. Looks like he took my threat seriously" She snickered, walking away from the group.

Not long after, the group got dressed into their suits. Laura loved hers, it wasn't too tight that she couldn't move and she mentally thanked Hank for making it so that she will still be wearing it when she shifts back to human form.

When they got to the airbase, the group were amazed at the jet they would be flying in. Although, Laura was nervous being a nervous flyer and all.

"Where's Hank?" Raven asked, and not too long after they all heard a voice.

"I'm here" Following the voice, they saw a rather large figure walking towards them, making them frown in confusion.

"Hank is that you" Laura asked, just as said man walked into the light and everyone saw a blue furry version of Hank.

"It didn't attack the cells. It enhanced them. It didn't work" Furry Hank sighed sadly, making Laura feel sad for him.

"Yes, it did, Hank. Don't you see? This is who you were meant to be. This is you. No more hiding" Raven said, placing a hand on Hank. Laura knew of Hank's crush on Raven but she also you that the girl liked Erik. And yes, Lara and Erik flirted but that's all it was going to be.

"Never looked better, man" Erik said, clapping Hank on the shoulder but didn't get the response he thought he would get. Instead, Hank grabbed the man in a choke hold.

"Hank!" Laura yelled, instantly remembering herself doing the same thing to him the night before.

"Don't mock me" Hank growled, as Erik started turning red.

"Hank put him down immediately, please" Charles spoke calmly, and eventually Hank let him go.

"I wasn't" Erik breathed out.

"Even i got to admit, you look pretty bad-ass. I think i got a new name for you...Beast" Alex smirked, gaining a small growl in return.

"You sure you can fly this thing?" Sean asked.

"Of course i can. I designed it" With that, the team were off to their location. Flying over the ships, Hank could see what was going on.

"Looks pretty messy out there" He said. Laura was sat between Erik and Alex, her nerves going through the roof. Her claws had come out, and were roughly digging into the arm rests.

"Not a fan of flying are you?" Alex yelled over the sound of the jet.

"Definitely not" She groaned back, closing her eyes and hoping to god she doesn't vomit.

"Crew of the Aral Sea are all dead. Shaw's been there" Charles spoke up, and the Maximoff woman could fee Erik's frustration and anger.

"He's still here, somewhere" He said sternly.

"He set the ship on course for the embargo line"

"If that ship crosses the line, our boys are gonna blow it up. And the war begins" Moira said, making Charles look at her.

"Unless they're not our boys" He said, making everyone nervous. Alarms suddenly started to go off, making Hank twirl the jet over. Laura felt herself gag, as both men on her side held onto her tightly.

"Do not vomit, Nix" Erik warned the woman.

"A little warning next time, Professor" Hank said.

"Sorry about that. You alright?" Charles asked, looking at everyone and if it wasn't a serious moment he would laugh at how green Laura's face is.

"Charles if you weren't so nice, i would poke you very hard in the eye" Laura groaned, taking deep breathes and tried to steady her heart. Charles smiled at her sheepishly, while the others laughed.

"Who would've thought Nix, a war hero, would be so scared of flying" Alex teased, gaining a light punch to the arm from Laura.

"That was inspired, Charles" Moira spoke up.

"Thank you very much, but i still can't locate Shaw" Charles stated, causing Erik to grow more frustrated.

"He's down there. We need to find him now" He snapped.

"Is there anything weird or unusual on the radar or scanner?" Hank asked the woman behind him.

"No. Nothing" She shook her head.

"Underwater. Charles you mentioned how Erik tried to pick up a submarine that Shaw was in. Well, that's where he'll be right now" Laura pointed out, gaining a look of understanding from both Erik and Charles. The woman then looked to Sean, thinking of an idea.

"Sean, you think you can go underwater and use your scream to locate Shaw?" Asked Laura.

"Yeah, yeah that could work" He nodded, getting up from his seat.

"Brilliant idea, Nix" Charles praised the woman, as he and Erik got up as well and followed the boy.

"Whoa! You back right off" Sean said, pointing at Erik who raised his hands in defence with a smirk on his face.

"Beast, open the bomb bay doors!" The red head yelled, and watched as the doors opened.

"You can do this, Sean!" Laura yelled, sending the boy a thumbs up and got a confident smile in return.

"Remember! This is a muscle! You control it! You'll be in here the entire time! We'll see you soon. On my mark, three, two, one! Go!" And down Sean went, making Laura's heart leap from her chest. Even though she had faith in Sean, she hated seeing him jump off the plan and hoped nothing bad would happen to him in the mean time.

"Banshee's got a location on Shaw" Charles smiled at Laura, who laughed out in relief.

"You ready for this?" The professor asked Erik.

"Let's find out" He replied, as Erik stood on the jet's wheels and hovered his hand over the water. Laura decided to get out of her seat, and wondered over to Charles. The woman's eyes widened when she saw the submarine appear in the air. Pride filled her chest, as she watched Erik hold onto the submarine.

As Charles and Laura watched, something caught the woman's attention. Looking closely, she could see the mutant who could make tornado's. And she watched as the man began to spin, and a massive tornado spun towards them.

"Erik! Take out hands!" Charles yelled, as he and Laura reached out to the man. Suddenly, they jet was emerged within the tornado, making everyone hold onto to something. Luckily, the submarine crashed onto the beach but the group were still stuck.

"Erik, take out hand" Laura yelled this time, expanding her claws so she could try and latch onto him. Quickly, the two grabbed onto the man and pulled him inside. And just as Laura was about to sink her claws into the jet to hold herself, the jet crashed onto the beach which then caused the woman to get thrown out of the plane.

The last thing she heard, were the screams of Erik and Charles calling out her name. As she smacked onto the beach, her world went dark.
