My Vampire King

Truth

*6 days later*

As the air rushes past me I grip Carters fur tighter trying not to fall off. "Carter faster, they're right behind us." I say to him and he picks up speed. "KEITH!" I yell out and a red wolf lunges from the brush and grabs me off Carter throwing me onto its back. "Nice timing.." I say as I get a grip on his fur.

"KATIE DUCK!" Kaley says and a magic blast went past my head. "Keith, Carter, move your asses I know you're faster than this." She says and Keith starts picking up speed.

"Up ahead, come one we're so close!" I mumble and notice something lunge from the corner of my eye, I turn and cover my face as a vampire tackles me off Keith.

"Katie!" Kaley yells and Carter lunges at the vampire knocking him off me. I scramble up and run for the base. Hearing footsteps behind me I push myself faster and slide down the hill.

"Katie what in the fuck...you couldn't have waited?" Keith chuckles at the bottom of the hill helping me up. I wipe off the dirt as Kaley and Carter come down the hill. We all run to the base and sigh.

"Fucking tired of this dumb bullshit, the running, the fighting, and the god damn hiding. I miss school, I miss going to the movies on the weekend, I miss my everyday life for once." I mumble and sit down. Carter sits next to me and Keith heads downstairs to get intel from Alura.

"It'll be all right little sis." Carter says patting me on the shoulder as a burst of energy flows through me and I close my eyes.

{"Kat? What is it?" I ask and she steps into my sight.

"It's time." She says and pulls back the hood of her cloak. She looks up at me and her eyes are red.

"Time for what!?" I exclaim and she sighs.

"You weren't supposed be a hunter Katie." She says and I stare at her.

"What do you mean?" I ask confused.

"Ever wonder why no other hunter transforms? Why no other hunter carries that mark? Why you feel the energy off the jewelry your parents wore? Cause you were meant to be a vampire! Branded at birth with a seal to mark it all away!" She says and I shake my head.

"That's not true! I refuse to believe I'm a monster!  I'm not a vampire!" I hiss and force my eyes open.}

The first thing I see is Kaley looking at me with such hatred I look at her confused."Kaley what..." She cuts me off.

"Katie? It's you again! Oh thank god.." She says hugging me. I hug her back and she sighs. "I felt something so sinister off you...I've felt it before, but only once and I can't remember." She says. I laugh awkwardly.

"So what did Kat want?" Carter ask and I look over at him.

"Just to make sure I was okay." I say and Kaley looks at me with a skeptical look. "So anything from Alura?" I ask Keith as he walks up the stairs.

"Well Daniel has set up base in our old home. Lance is there with him, so is Matt..." Keith says and my eyes widen.

"You're fucking kidding me right?" I ask and get up. "There is no way in hell, that I will let that monster have our home." I exclaim and head towards the front door.
