Trouble..

I pace my office as Keith starts naming off all the places Matt could be hiding. "Think about it sis, he could be anywhere." Keith says and I sigh.

"Look Keith, we'll find him and once we do, I'm gonna torture him slowly." I say and sit at my desk messing with my pendant.

"KATIE!" I hear Daniel yell and I sigh.

"Hello love.." I say looking up at him. He gives me a glare.

"Its been four god damn weeks Katie!" He says as Keith leaves the room.

"I'm sorry, that I'm more worried about the asshole that killed my father." I say and slam my hand on the desk and get up.

"I'm your mate! I need you with me!" He yells back and I growl.

"You will not come in here and raise your voice at me!" I say and stand in front of him.

"Don't test me love, you don't want to deal with the vampire king." He says and I smile softly my anger vanishing.

"You're king now?" I ask and he smiles back and nods. I hug him and he hugs me back.

"Yes I'm king now, I've heard your Queen of the hunters now." I nod and run my hand over my face.

"Yep and it's tiring. I hate it, I miss school and I miss you.." I mumble and I pull back a bit to see his face. He chuckles and leans down, centimeters from my lips.

"I miss you too, you have no idea how hard it is to sleep when I actually do, when you aren't there." He says and kiss me softly. I kiss him back and he pulls away and licks his lips. "Your smell is intoxicating love." He says and I bite my lip. I open my mouth to say something but I watch Kaley pop in.

"Daniel you're needed back at the castle." She says and he sighs.

"Come with my love please?" He says and I nod.

"Okay fine." I say and he wraps his arms around me tighter. "Keith I'll be back, you're in charge till then!" I yell and I close my eyes as Kaley and Daniel snap their fingers. I feel wind and next thing I hear the chatter of the castle.

"Ok we're here love." He says and I open my eyes. I look around and smile.

"Our queen!" They cheer and I hide behind Daniel.

"She's a hunter, she'll never be our queen." Lance says and I growl.

"Still bitter I see." I say and he growls showing his fangs. "Oh so scary." I growl back and he lunges for me. I side step and he falls on the floor. Laughter fills the room and I smile a bit.

"Enough Lance, you will not attack your queen." I hear their dad say and I shyly hide behind Daniel again.

"It's okay love.." Daniel says and I shake my head.

"I haven't seen them in years." I mumble and grab his hand.

"As you may have known, Daniel has found his mate and is king. You will treat her as one of your own when she is here. Do not and I repeat do not attack any hunters." He says and some of them look at me.

"My father is correct. Since Katie is my mate we have a treaty with them." Daniel says and they nod. Daniel nudges me forward and I bite my lip.

"My hunters know not to attack any of you, at the moment we're hunting rouges and Matt." I say and some vampires growl. I walk with Daniel back to his room and he smiles.

"So love I have some business to attend to, stay here." He says and I shake my head. I open my mouth to protest and he sighs. "Not everyone is fond of a hunter for queen." He says and I sigh.

"Okay fine I'll stay here." I say and he kisses my forehead.

"I'll be back soon love." He says and disappears. I sigh and lay back on his bed. I curl into a ball and close my eyes.

*2 hours later*

I wake up and look around sleepily. "What the fuck?" I mumble and get up. I'm yanked back and look at my wrist to see a chain. "Hello!?" I yell out.

"Ah finally you're awake." A voice says and my head snaps in the direction.

"Where am I?" I ask and he steps into the light. "Matt..." I say and step back.

"Told you love bug. You'll be mine. Lance as been very helpful keeping me updated. So your queen now? Mhm..." He says and walks closer to me. "You know, your mate will reject you when he finds out you slept with another man." He says and my eyes widen.

"Don't, don't fucking touch me." I growl and I recoil in pain and close my eyes.

"Kat?" I question

"Katie, its Daniel. He knows we're in trouble. He's freaking out." She says and I sigh.

"Can you reach out to him? Or at least reach out to Moon? Let them know we are okay for now?" I ask her and she nods.

I open my eyes to see Matt gone. I look around and tug on the chain. I hear a snap and look at my wrist. "Fuck!" I yell and lean back against the wall. I hear the door open again and I watch as a small girl comes in with a tray of food.

"Ma'am my Alpha wanted me to give this to you.." She says and I smile.

"Tell your Alpha he can fuck himself." I say and she scurries out. I try to shimmy my wrist out of the cuff and cry out in pain. I whimper and hold my wrist. I sit down and close my eyes.

"So I can fuck myself?" I heard Matt say and I laugh bitterly.

"Go away you ass." I say and keep my eyes closed.

"Oh love bug.." He says and looks at my wrist. I flinch away from him and he growls. "I'm not gonna harm you." He says and gently takes my wrist. I whimper in pain and turn my body away from him. "Katie what did you do?"

"I tried to pull off the cuff and broke my wrist... I think." I say and he sighs. He grabs my wrist again and snaps it back into place. I cry out and glare at him.

"It was dislocated." He says and I nod slightly before pulling my wrist away from him again. "Daniel is close so I need to do this." He says as he bites into my neck. I feel his mark fighting with Daniel's and I collapse against the wall.

"He won't let you get away with this." I mumble and Matt laughs.

"I already did get away with it." He says and I start coughing. "Bye Katie." He walks out of the room and I start coughing up blood. I hear commotion outside and i summon all my strength.

"HELP!" I yell as loud as I can and the collapse back against the wall.

"KATIE!?" I hear Kaley yell and I look up at the door. I whimper in pain as my eyes close and I hear the door burst open. "No!" Was the last thing I heard.
