9. If I Woke Up Without You

Charming moonlight
Another sleepless night
We play hide and seek under the moonlight

  Taehyung's eyes opened slightly as the sun"s rays kissed his face. He snuggled closer into something soft. He smiled, thinking of his girlfriend. Has she always been this soft? He frowned when his leg made contact with the bed. Joohyun isn't short, so why isn't he feeling her legs? He opened his eyes fully and his gaze fell on  the pillow he thought was Joohyun and and empty bed. He yawned and closed his eyes before getting up in mild panic. Empty bed? Where is she?

  He moved out of the bedroom and started to look for her.  His heart was beating fast in fear. She wasn't in any of the other rooms. Neither was she in the living room nor in the game room. He moved to the kitchen. In the midst of his panic, he smelt something delicious.

  The counter was filled with plates of mouthwatering food. He was almost drooling when he smelt something different. Like fresh roses, coming from the stairs. Since it was an open kitchen, he turned his head to the stairs and saw the reason of his paranoia calmly coming down with her hands running through her newly dyed midnight blue hair. Despite his lingering confusion, he smiled as she hugged him. He pecked her forehead.

"Good morning. Where were you? I searched everywhere for you."

"Yeah. Except your own bathroom. Morning to you too."

  He pouted at that. He had panicked for nothing. He didn't know what to think when he didn't see her there. All he knew was that he was paranoid about the fact that she wasn't with him  and he wanted to be with her, no matter where she was. He just wanted to be there.

  He smiled and moved to kiss her lips. She playfully pushed him away.

"Morning breath."

  He rolled his eyes. "Liar. I woke up as early as 5:45am to get ready only to remember that we were on holiday."

  She smiled. "Okay!"

  He frowned. "Okay? For wha-"

  She cut him off with a kiss. He placed his hand on her nape, deepening the kiss. He tilted his head as she wrapped her arms around his neck and ran her fingers through his hair, sending delicious shivers all over his body. He nipped on her bottom lip and that was when she pulled away and flicked his forehead. He rubbed his forehead as it actually hurt.

"Let's eat." She motioned towards the food. He nodded and helped her set up the dinning table and they sat down to eat. The moment the food entered his mouth, he moaned in pleasure and surprise. It tasted heavenly as it melted in his mouth and filled his taste buds. He could kiss her for eternity for blessing him today. She laughed as she watched him.

"Is it that good?"

  He nodded excitedly, taking another bite and savoring it. "It tastes so good and looks almost as good as you."

  He expected her to scoff at his sentence as she normally did but instead she gave him a shy smile.
