Taehyung was filled with dread when Joohyun came back home. Surprisingly, she didn't even spare him a glance. He frowned at her action, totally expecting her to confront but she didn't do such. Instead, she ignored his presence as usual. And he didn't have the courage to ask her either, as he was ashamed of himself. So, the matter dragged on for days and days dragged into weeks until he broke.♗♗♗♗♗♗♗♗
It was two weeks after that event that he gathered enough courage to talk to her. She was on the roof, legs dangling and splashing in the pool. She didn't turn her head but she knew he was there.
"What?"
"Can we talk?"
She turned to look him in the eyes. "Oh, really? Now you want to talk?"
He nodded, taking a deep breath. "I know you know what we did."
She chuckled, turning back into the pool. "So?"
"I know that that's the reason you're like this."
She turned back to him and pulled out her legs from the pool, walking away from it. She stood at arms length, holding his gaze. "Really?"
He nodded. "Yes. Really."
"So, what are you going to do about it?"
He went silent, knowing that it was a rhetorical question. They both knew he couldn't do anything about it. The ball was in her court.
She scoffed and came closer, her gaze narrowing into a glare. He winced internally, but kept a bold face outside. You couldn't even tell if he was nervous. But she could. A malicious smirk grew on her lips. "Just like I thought, you can't do anything about it, but I can."
"What are you going to do?"
"Me?" Her smirk grew sickenly smug. "I'm breaking up with you."
His eyes widen with tears as he registered her words. He shook his head, taking a hold of her. "No. Please don't do this to me. I know you hate me but, please stay with me."
She scoffed, shrugging him off. "What makes you think I'll listen to you?"
He knelt down instantly, crying profusely, and despite that his voice was clear. "Even if you ignore me, even if you torture me, even if you use me, I'll take it all, I'm yours to use but please don't leave me, I love you way too much, please."
She smirked deeper. "No."
This time, his voice shook and he broke down completely. "Please. Please. I'll do whatever you want. Whatever it is you choose, I'll do so, please don't leave me."
In the midst of his breakdown, she refused again, before walking off with a satisfied smirk. She didn't stop even when he called her name desperately. But his question stopped her and wiped the smirk off her face, replacing it with a sober expression.
"Did somebody break your heart?"
