The pair lit up candles and placed them around, then made breakfast together. Chan let Felix do most of everything since he can see better than the older with just candles around.

It was past 7 pm with heavy rain and wind outside, but at least the pair were having fun eating and playing games.

"Um...pick up 4 Channie!"

"Oh? Well I say pick up 8~"

"Huh?? No fair..." he whined and meowed, Chan laughed at his sore loser whines.

They let the time go by playing uno rounds, midway Chan got a call from the beach house owner.

"Hello?"

Felix was shuffling cards for another round to play while Chan spoke on the phone, then saw the older stand up quickly.

"There is?? Oh that's great news! Just a moment!" He said then muted his phone, Felix looked up seeing the older turn on his flashlight again.

"Channie...? Is something wrong?"

"Actually something is good kitten! The home owner said that with beach storms the power goes out sometimes here, so he has a back up generator in a lower level in the house. He said there's a door close to the back room"

"There is?" Felix stood up looking down the hall too.

"Yes baby, let me go find it and turn it on" Chan petted his head.

"Oh...ok! Should I come with you Channie? To see?" Felix meowed.

"Well you hate spiders...and there might be a few-"

"I hate bugs Channie!" Felix started to growl already, Chan laughed expecting his reaction.

Scaredy cat

"I know kitten, which is why you stay here and be a good kitty. I won't be long, you can get the next deck ready for us" Chan Kissed his nose before going off to find the door, Felix nodded as he sat back down on the floor and shuffling the cards on the table.

*meow*meow*meow*

He started to meow and sing to himself waiting for Chan, then decided to go use the bathroom.

"Tinkle time!" He giggled getting up to go do so, he went along his business and finished up in a few minutes.

When he came out he went to check on Chan too.

"Channie...? Are you ok?" He meowed through the door, he saw some stairs and Chan's flashlight while
The older was checking some switches on the phone still.

"Yes princess! Be up soon!"

*meow*

Felix meowed padding around the hallway corner to go back to sit near the table, but...

He saw the back door open again...

*meow*

The door is open...?

His cat ears went back looking around getting nervous again....
Just like last night, he didn't smell anyone or see anyone come inside but the door is open...

*meow*

He meowed sniffing the air and slowly stepping closer, rain started to come in making him hiss some too.

"H-hello...?" He meowed inching closer stepping around the water, he peeked outside smelling the strong see air and waves coming onto the shore in the rain.
