Chan did everything and made Felix a quick breakfast with his supplements smoothie before heading to work, Felix was drinking it and looking out their living room window feeling tired...but bored...and...

"I mean...I don't feel sick...just tired..." he mumbled checking his phone, he was going to call Joshua but then thought of something.

Hmmm...oh! Maybe I can just come in to work a little late and leave kinda early! I can still help and Channie won't know!

Felix meowed to himself having the perfect plan, he knew as part time manager too a lot of them depended on him like it was his own cafe. He even thought about how it's already been almost 5 years since he started working there too.

I love my job too! I'm happy Channie let me work there since he found me...I've made so many new friends! Learned lots of things...and...

Felix smiled thinking that the cafe was kind of like a second home...another safe space for him, regardless of some terrible customers he's had...it's definitely helped his confidence and being less scared of others.

And especially Joshua and the team, everyone has been welcoming to Felix and Chan since the beginning even with their heterochromia...something he never expected, but was touched that he practically has a second family with them too. Just like the doctors at Chan's office too.

"Channie will be busy today he said...so he won't come to the cafe...especially if he doesn't know I'm there. But..." Felix looked at his ring with his tracker, he slowly took it off going to their bedroom.

"It's only for a short time! In case Channie checks..." Felix put it next to his charger on his end table, right after he texted Joshua he would be there around 11 am.

I'll just drink green tea for energy and go to work!
I'll be ok!

So that's what Felix did, he got ready for work. Slipping on his jeans and shirt, he made some green tea to drink before heading out to the bus station close by. Already the tea made him feel energetic.

I hope Channie has a good day today too...I'll see him tonight!

Felix got to work already seeing a long line of customers outside, he had many fans saying hello to them all as he entered to see the busy cafe.

Wow! It's so many hybrids-

"Felix?? Thank god you're here! Good morning! It's really busy so we need you! Can you clock in and start with tables 8, 9, and 10? They just got seated and Gowon is making their lattes" Joshua rushed up to him hugging the younger, Felix smiled hugging him back.

"Sure! I'm here to help all day! I kinda have to leave around 5 pm instead of 6 pm...is that ok?" Felix asked, he planned on leaving to come home before Chan Would find out he went to work today...

"Ya that's ok! I'm sure the crowd will be calm by then!"

"Thank you!"

And so Felix started his shift with his green tea energy boost, it was definitely crazy in the cafe with customers but nonetheless he was having fun helping.

Chan on the other end was having a busy day as well, he barely had time for himself or to text Felix until it was past 1 pm.

"Damn today is really something...shit...I haven't checked on Felix, I hope he's ok. Let me call him" Chan sat down in his office chair grabbing his phone to call, it rang a few times but go no answer.
