Chan tried to focus on paying his finances but kept spacing out, thinking about what he heard.

He doesn't need to-

"Channie! Are you ready?"

"H-huh?"

*meow*

Suddenly Felix rushed into his study calling for him to play games.

"For games! We're ready to play! Play with us Channie!" He meowed reaching for his hand to pull out his chair, Chan forced a smile and nodded.

"Um...ok baby, give me 5 minutes. I'll be right out..."

"Yay! Ok Channie! We'll start it up!" Felix ran back out meowing, Chan watched him go then his smile faded...he looked back to his screen to finish up paying their bills...

Still with Felix on his mind.

"Kitten..."

"Woohoo! Go Lixie!" Ren cheered for the other hybrid, they were doing tournament mode with all 3 of them playing. Felix won another battle as he happily cheered too.

"Yay!! I won! Ok Channie your turn!"

"..."

Felix stood up telling Chan, the older was spaced out again though sitting on their couch looking out the window. Both hybrids noticed Chan's apathetic look.

"Chan? Are you ok?" Ren meowed looking over to him, Chan snapped out his thoughts hearing their meows.

"Um sorry...I was thinking about work..." he lied with a small smile, Felix gave a worried meow sitting next to him on the couch.

"Channie...are you ok? You look...tired? You don't have to play if you don't want to..." Felix meowed to him sitting on his knees, Chan forced a smile reaching to pet his head.

"I'm ok baby, really...it's my turn right? Let's play" he tried to sound happy, Felix and Ren meowed and cheered.

*meow*

Eventually they ordered takeout dinner, Chan was still in his own thoughts as they ate. But kept up with conversation at least.

"Bye Ren-Ren! Text you later!"

"Bye Lixie!"

*meow*meow*

Felix was saying goodbye to Ren at the door as it was around 7 pm now, he had to go home to see JR soon.

Felix waved his hand closing the door, he padded back down the hall looking for Chan.

"Channie! Ren left! Where are you-"

Felix saw the glass door to their terrace open, he sniffed the air following Chan's scent towards it.

*meow*

"Channie...?" He saw the older just come in and close the door, he had a somber look on his face but quickly changed when he saw Felix.

"Oh...hey baby, sorry I was just outside taking a break. You ok?" He forced a smile, but Felix could hear something off in his voice.

*meow*

"Yes Channie...um Ren just left" he meowed to Chan, the older nodded petting his head.

"Oh, well I'm glad you had your kitty playdate fun" he stroked his hair, Felix purred from his touch.

*meow*

"Yes Channie it was fun! Um, do you wanna cuddle and watch tv Channie?" He asked, the older nodded glancing away.
