The next morning Chan's alarm went off for work, he grumbled in his sleep reaching his hand around to turn it off.

"I'm up..." he sighed with his eyes still closed, rolling over he reached for the hybrid to cuddle him.

"Sweet kitty~"

"..."

"Hm?" Chan felt the bed empty, he opened his eyes to indeed see him alone in bed looking around.

"Huh...? Kitten?" Chan sat up looking around, he was about to call for the boy but then heard noises from their kitchen with the bedroom opened.

Oh he's must be awake already, I'll go see him~

Chan stretched his body getting out of bed, he went to brush his teeth and use the bathroom then looking for the hybrid.

"Kitten?"

*meow*

He walked out their room to see Felix was making muffins, the boy heard Chan's voice as he took out a another tray.

"Channie?"

"Mmm I knew I smelled something delicious~
Is my kitty baking?" Chan teased going up to him, Felix gave a small smile removing his mittens.

*meow*

"Yes Channie, I made blueberry and apple muffins...for Channie's breakfast..." he purred twirling his tail, the older looked at the different muffins smelling more of the aroma.

"I have the cutest muffin kitty, thank you baby~" Chan reached for his hands to pull close, he kissed his nose and lips hugging him.

*meow*

"I definitely can't wait to try them~
Let me go get ready for work, then I'll be out to enjoy them baby~" Chan petted his head about to walk off, but Felix grabbed his arm holding onto him.

*meow*

"Kitten?" Chan looked over to him, Felix looked at him with big eyes giving a small meow.

"I-I don't want Channie to go to work today..." he meowed sadly, Chan chuckled a bit thinking his kitten was being playful.

"Aww kitty cat, you know I have to. Even though staying home for kitten time is a job I much more prefer~" he teased with a wink, but when Felix didn't smile at his joke something felt off...

*meow*

Felix became quiet looking down.

"Kitten...? Is something wrong...why you don't want me to go?" Chan asked turning to face him, Felix nodded meowing sadly again.

*meow*

"Baby do you feel sick...? Is it your heat?" Chan asked seriously cupping his cheeks, he made the boy look at him seeing his big kitty eyes want to tear up.

*meow*

Felix shook his head then hugged the older hiding his face in Chan's chest.

"Kitten...?? Then what's wrong...?" Chan asked still confused at his behavior, Felix gave more sad meows hugging his arms tight around the older.

"I-I don't want Channie to leave me...I don't want Channie hurt..."

"What..? Hurt? What do you mean-"

Then Chan realized, the boy was extra anxious from his bad dream about him last night.

Chan wrapped his arms around the younger hugging him back.

"Sweetheart kitty, it was only a bad dream. I'll be fine and ok, no need to be scared or worry...alright?" Chan kissed his head, Felix looked up at him meowing again.
