chapter 2: The Sleepover

MAX'S POV:

I got to els house and knocked on the door, not even a second later the door flung open and el screamed "MAX!" she grabbed my arm and yanked me inside I was laughing as she was pulling me to her room.

We got to her room and it looked so comfortable, and cozy. Best place to be, especially at a sleepover with the one and only El.

"Do u like?" El asked with her head slightly tilted.. "yes el" I said as I smiled and turned around to set my stuff down in the corner. Then when I turned around el jumped and gave me a huge hug "I missed you max" she said when it was just a few days into winter break. I hated break, 2 weeks off stuck at home with my mom, Billy and what-his-face was a nightmare.

They were horrible they always abused me, my mom drank, I never felt safe at my own house. But once I got to els I felt safe and more at home than I do at my own house.

I was happy to see el I was just to tired to actually show how excited I was to see her. I was more excited to see her than I ever have been to see anyone else.

EL'S POV:

After I opened the door I yelled her name, grabbed her arm and pulled her to my room. For some reason she was laughing. She said she liked my room and when she turned around to set her stuff down I realized it was the perfect moment to give her a hug, so as soon as she turned around I jumped into her arms and hugged her "I missed you Max" even tho it was only a few days into break I still missed her.

I missed max more than mike.but whatever. I let go from the hug and sat on the bed, "sit" I demanded sweetly "ok" max replied giggling. I turned the lamp off and we layer on the bed it way around 2 o'clock by the time we finally were able to start the movie. We decided to save it tho so we went to the other room to ask hopper something.

"Can we do crafts?" I ask kindly "Sure kid, go ahead just be careful." Hopper replies. About 4 hours later Joyce walks in "were here!" She says and she hands will his overnight bag. Shoot I forgot will was staying over as Joyce needed to do something with Jonathan.

"OK, I'll take care of him" hopper says as he walks over to Joyce and kisses her cheek. "OK" Joyce replies "bye will" she says after patting his head "bye mom" will replies. "Bye hop" Joyce saying as she puts her hand on his cheek and kisses hopper. "Bye Joyce" he says as they separate from the kiss and Joyce walks out snd leaves.

Me and max sit at the table and start crafts will joins us after we invite him. We work for a few hours and will walks off l. We were all pretty tired but me and max wanted to finish. Once we finished the project we walked off to my room.

A/N: THIS IS A VERY LONG CHAPTER CONPAIRED TO THE LAST ONE. AND IK IT DOESNT SHOW ELMAX YET BUT IT WILL EVENTUALLY JUST GIVE IT TIME.
