Kyoko's POV-

I looked at the calendar hanging on the wall of the classroom. It was on 23rd December. I was very excited because it was the last finishing of the assignment. I couldn't wait for the submission of that. The next day was also the last day of school and my medical report was about to be out on the same day as well.

I was practicing some ballet steps and was trying to rehearse the dancing steps for the upcoming performance on Christmas as well. Thankfully, I had Aoi as my partner for my upcoming performance. I practiced all the steps including the 'Pas de Chat' with 'Pirouette'. Of course, Aoi was trying the same steps as me. But unfortunately, our great practice was disturbed by a piece of DJ music. We looked at our right side where two students were practicing hip-hop for the performance as well. But the music was too loud to help us to dance in peace. Aoi covered her ears because of the suddenly loud music and rushed to them to stop them.

"Excuse me, would you love to let us practice too?" Aoi asked them.

"Well, I think you can try your cheap dance on our music too." The girl between them said with her humorous tone which surely pissed Aoi off.

"What do you mean by 'Cheap Dance'? Do you think you are better?" Aoi replied them.

"Oh, my god. Yuto, did you hear what our ballet mistress said? Are you trying to compete with us?" The girl challenged us.

"Listen, guys. I know both of these dance styles are no less worthy than each other. But it doesn't mean that you will degrade ballet." I tried to protest against her evilness.

"Then, why don't you accept the challenge and prove who is the best here?" The boy beside the girl probably Yuto threw a challenge at us which crossed the limits of my patience.

"Kyoko will compete with you. She can beat you, for sure... right?" Aoi accepted the challenge and volunteered for me. At first, I was confused, but then the words of the students just screwed me up, and... finally, I nodded.

The girl smiled and mentioned for him to stop the music. I also got ready for my position as she stretched herself up. Aoi and Yuto stood at a side. Then the battle started. She started with the body rock along with the hop and head where I performed some highest grand Jete steps. As we started the dance battle I could feel a little crowd gathering inside the club. I also heard some little oohing of students while they tried to gather more students from the other clubs and the school. But what both of us did was just care for our dance steps. We performed some difficult steps too until both of us were covered in sweat and started breathing too fast and stopped. Just as we stopped a loud noise of applauding was heard by us. Some students approached her to congratulate her for such amazing dance skills. But she bragged instead and came towards us with a smirk pulling me out of the crowd that gathered me.

"We got equal points. But it's not over yet. Let's see who represents the 'Dance Club' this Christmas." She said and left being followed by the crowd behind her.

What the hell?

I sighed. But a hand on my shoulder startled me so hard that I screamed. I turned back and found Kanzaki who was confused by my screaming.

"You startled me!" I said trying to stop my heartbeat which was... never going to be slow.

"I'm sorry. I just wanted to greet you for your amazing dance skills." He said but he had the shortest smile I had ever seen.
