Kyoko's POV-

I opened my eyes after being scared by the nightmare. I got up on the bed. I saw my bedroom filled with the dim sunlight of the snowy dawn. I looked at the strange gift box on the mat. I looked at myself. I was sleeping without even changing into pajamas. I was sure that I fall asleep in the previous condition. I shifted my gaze to the gift box on the table.

The box was still there with those mysterious words written on it. I got up and took the box in my hands. I untied the ribbon and opened the cover. My jaws almost dropped when I saw a ballet tiara inside that box. I was so mystified. I looked at the red curves in the gloomy sky of winter.

'I will know anyhow who this 'Secret Santa' is....'

I put the box and looked at the calendar. It was on 25th December. I recalled the moment when Aoi and Fumiko were asking me out.

*24th December- (During Lunch Break)*

"You both guys are going to enjoy. Good." Hiroshi grinned at Taiga and Fumiko.

"Hiroshi and I are going to celebrate Christmas with each other's family." Aoi grinned and nudged his elbow of Hiroshi.

"You guys are gonna have fun." I chuckled.

"Well, don't worry, girl, just get ready at 8 a.m. for an outing." She ordered me.

"Aye-Aye, Captain!" I posed a salute for her.

*Back to reality*

I rubbed my temple slowly. Then I stared at the clock. It was 7:30 a.m. I headed to the washroom and changed my look into casual outing clothes. I put on a skirt and a jacket. I added a muffler and a pair of thigh-high highs and a side bag. I combed my hair and put the phone inside. Before leaving the room, I stopped myself and forced a look at the gift box. I took hold of it, stared at it for a few minutes, and dropped that inside my bag.

As I reached the door, I found ojiisan coming near me.

"Are you going to hang out with somebody?" He asked.

"Yes. I am going for an outing with Aoi. But don't worry, ojiisan. I will come back sooner and we both will go to the stage location. Okay?" I smiled at him and held his old and soft hands that were shaking.

"Sure, my sweetheart." He smiled back.

I waved him 'Goodbye' made my way out of the house and locked the door behind me. Just as I locked the door, my smile turned into an anxious curve. I sighed and made my way to the Café clicking my boots.

The sunshine was very dim that day. Probably, it got matched with the mood. I pushed the glass door with the Christmas bell ringing and entered. I turned my head to check and spotted Aoi at the corner of the shop.

"Hey, bud!" She cheered.

"Hey." I tried my best to give a cheerful reply, but Aoi was not that fool.

"Is it all right? Last night, you sounded... a bit weird." She began the disaster just as I took my seat.

"No, you are right. It's not all right." I replied with a heavy heart and rested my forehead on my palm.

"What is it?" She asked me with concern filled in her voice.

"It's... It's a weird gift box." I said.
