Kyoko's POV-
"What do you mean?" I was completely at a loss.
"I knew that you would react like this. My... father set me up with her. Till we are at legal age for marriage we are bound to date." He said.
I took three deep breaths.
"Okay. I-I see. So you love her?" I asked him.
"Of course not. She is just a gold-digger." He said looking at me.
"Then, why don't you protest?!" I said.
"Kyoko... I wish I could. If I do so, my Dad will cut connections with me." He said rubbing his temple.
I sighed and got up from the bed. I stood by the window and looked out at the outside. It was snowing heavily.
I looked back at Kanzaki and walked towards him. I took his hands and got his pinky out.
"W-what is that?" He looked confused.
"I don't know what is going to happen. But I promise you this Christmas. I will do anything to make that girl leave you." I said as my eyes glowed.
He looked at my eyes.
"Wait. I can't let you do something that would trouble you. Not again." He said.
I looked disappointed in his eyes. He took his hand away. I looked at the ground. Then something burned up inside me.
"I don't care. I will do anything to make that girl realize that 'love' isn't just a game." I held his pinky tightly again.
He looked at my eyes. But this time his eyes were glowing. He smiled.
"I knew that you were different. But you have no idea, it scares me." He said.
"It scares you? Why?" I asked him confusedly.
"Once, there was someone who was exactly like you. But she was hurt because of my family matter. Now I lost her. I-I don't want to lose you, Kyoko," he looked into my eyes, "Just promise me, whatever happens, you will never call the danger on you."
I fell silent. "I promise I won't."
I looked at the clock. It was 11 PM. "Wanna go outside? I am dying to hear you sing again!" I giggled.
"Sure." He smiled and we got up. I took off my other heel as the heel of my left foot had broken already.
We held hands and ran through the corridor again. But this time I took the lead. We kept laughing like insane criminals who just escaped prison. We didn't stop until we reached the rooftop. It wasn't decorated. The view from the rooftop was definitely something that could melt your heart. The whole hill station was covered with thick layers of snow. Still, at some distances, some Christmas trees were glowing with different lights. The kids and their families were having fun together. To be honest, I had never enjoyed such a beauty. I barely remembered how I enjoyed Christmas in my previous years. I didn't have my memory. But as you all can see, I am recreating some new ones.
We looked at the view.
"You know what? I am a great fan of dancing. Could you dance right now?" He said looking at me.
