Chapter 6 "Mosquito hickeys"
Levi's POV;
"These sandwiches taste like they are made from God himself..." Petra sighted as she pushed more of Sasha's miracles into her mouth. Seriously... They tasted like heaven.
"Stop it you guys!" Sasha waved her hand in front of her face but the tone in her voice screamed sarcasm.
"When we get back home we have to have a midnight marathon." Erwin said as he took his third sandwich.
"Nah... I don't feel like running..." Connie said as he spread out onto the grass with his hands behind his head.
"Movie marathon you fuckwit." He said as he chewed loudly on his food. I wrinkled my nose in disgust as half of his food landed onto the grass. How comes that we are related? I quickly adverted my eyes and unconsciously made eye contact with Eren who seemed to already been staring at me but quickly looked away.
O-okay.... That's totally normal.... What the fuck is he doing?
"Ah, that I can do." Connie said and closed his eyes with a satisfied smile. I took a sip from my juice and realized that the mood started to turn really awkward.
What to do, what to do...
Somebody please light up the mood!
"Hey... Why don't we take a walk? I'm starting to feel restless..." Eren said as he stood up and brushed his pants from dust. I quickly followed his example and thanked the God, Buddha, Allah, freckled Jesus and every other God, if they exists of course, for the rescue.
"I can come along.. Anyone else?" I asked and turned to the rest of our crew. I saw in the corner of my eyes how Armin shifted in his spot, on his way up from the ground but Hanji reached and yanked him down before Eren could see Armin's attempt to follow us.
"Nope. No one. You go. We're fine." She quickly said as she gave Armin the 'you-see-what-I'm-trying-to-do-here' look and then smiled at us, giving me a discreet wink.
Fucking four-eyes...
I rolled my eyes and glared at her but on the inside, I was quite thankfull... Not that I was ever going to admit that to her. If I did she wouldn't stop bugging me about it.
"Okay then. Let's go.." Eren said as he started to walk into the woods in the different direction we came from. I followed right behind him.
After a good five minutes in complete silence where the only thing that was audible was our breaths, the birds, the sea and our footsteps I decided to break the silence with the first thing I could think of. Which also happens to be one of the only things circling in my head.
"So... This was your first-date place, right?" I jumped down from a rock and kept walking beside Eren through the difficult terrain.
"Yeah... It's kind of awkward to be here with her again..." He said as he made his way down a small moutain. "Even though we broke up.."
"Yeah, I get that..." I said as I followed him down. "You know when I was dating that guy Marcus or something... Our first date was in a park. I could barely walk past it without feeling sad after we broke up.." I finished as I kept my gaze locked on Eren.
Maybe shouldn't done that since I quickly tripped over a branch and almost faceplanted, causing a small 'whoa, take it easy' to be said from my friend.
"It's not like I'm feeling sad because we broke up.... It's more like..." He paused to think about his answer. "Even though we didn't have the chemistry we still had... Something. And I kind of miss that.. The feeling of having something.."
