Rena loved watching the races.
It gave her a thrill knowing that it was dangerous. Not only because it was an illegal street race, but because the competition was often fierce due to the stakes and bets made.
But the main reason she enjoyed going to the races was to see Prapai. The handsome racer was cocky, but it was well deserved as he never lost a race. Despite this, he still felt the thrill of a win and was always looking for someone to celebrate with.
Rena had been that someone a couple of times. Spending a night with Prapai was always enjoyable. Many girls - and boys alike - felt lucky when he picked them to spend the night with as he was a very popular man.
Many had also tried to lock down the racer, but as soon as they showed signs of clinginess it was the last time they spent the night with Prapai.
Rena was smarter than that. She knew what Prapai was, a player, and wasn't deluded enough to think that she could be the one to change that. Despite how she felt about the man.
Prapai was attentive and passionate in bed, but he was also kind and funny. All of that along with his handsome face and bright smile meant it was no wonder that Rena found herself falling in love with him.
While milling around waiting for Prapai's next race, she spotted a familiar face.
What is Rain doing here?
The boy, who she knew from University, looked out of place and was clearly sneaking around. Before she could make her way over to him, her fellow student started running and Rena inwardly winced. That was the worst thing the boy could do. Now the guards would definitely know that he wasn't meant to be here.
She made her way through the crowd to see Rain run straight into Phayu's arms. Rena sighed in relief. Her fellow student would be safe now with their Senior. Phayu was a graduate of their university and she wondered if Rain had met his famous alumni before.
Did Rain know Phayu would be here? Did he come alone?
Rena started searching the crowd and spotted Sky who had also seen Rain almost get caught. She watched him try to hide amongst the crowd and tried to make her way towards him.
Sky glanced behind him and she saw the guards which were making their way towards him. Her heart pounded at the thought that she might not get to him in time.
And then everything stopped as a familiar arm wrapped around Sky's shoulders. Rena watched as the guards gave up their pursuit and Sky was dragged away by Prapai.
Looks like Prapai has chosen his company for tonight.
Rena ignored the tug in her chest as she watched them walk off together until they were hidden from sight. At least Sky was safe. Prapai was a good guy despite what some people said because he's a player, but he's always very clear with his partners that it's just a casual thing.
She stayed around until it was clear that Prapai wouldn't be racing again tonight before heading home - alone.
