Just for You

The sun had set, casting a gentle twilight over the city as Prapai picked Rena up. He had been planning this date meticulously, wanting to show Rena just how much she meant to him. As Rena climbed into the car, her eyes lit up at the sight of a bouquet of flowers resting on the passenger seat.

"P'Prapai, these are beautiful."

"They're not as beautiful as you."

Prapai gave her a wink that made her blush.

They drove through the city. Prapai had chosen a serene botanical garden for their date, knowing how much Rena loved nature. The garden, illuminated by fairy lights, was like something out of a dream. As they entered, Rena's breath caught at the sight of the lush greenery and twinkling lights.

The evening was filled with laughter and easy conversation. Prapai led Rena through the winding paths, pointing out exotic flowers and sharing stories from his childhood. Rena felt a sense of wonder and delight as they explored the garden together, her heart swelling with affection for this thoughtful man by her side.

"Look at this one. It's called a night-blooming cereus. It only blooms once a year, at night."

Rena's eyes sparkled with excitement.

"It's beautiful."

Prapai watched her, a soft smile on his lips.

"Just like you."

They continued their walk, eventually finding a secluded spot under a canopy of trees. Prapai spread out a blanket and revealed a picnic basket filled with delicious treats. Rena's eyes widened with delight as she took in the scene.

"P'Pai, you didn't have to do all this."

"I wanted to. Tonight is all about you."

They sat together, sharing stories and laughter as they enjoyed their picnic. The atmosphere was relaxed and intimate, and Rena felt herself falling for Prapai more and more with each passing moment. The stars began to appear, twinkling above them like tiny diamonds.

Prapai kept his eyes on the sky as he spoke.

"Do you ever think about the future?"

"All the time. I dream about what it could be like."

Prapai turned to her, his eyes serious.

"I want you to be a part of my future, Rena. I want us to build something together, with Sky."

Rena's heart fluttered at his words.

"I want that too, Prapai."

They leaned in, sharing a tender kiss under the starlit sky. The world seemed to disappear, leaving just the two of them in their own little bubble of happiness.

When they finally arrived back at Sky's apartment, Rena felt a sense of contentment wash over her. Tonight had been everything she had hoped for and more, and she couldn't wait to see where their relationship would go from here.

But as they stepped through the door, their smiles faded. Sky was sitting on the couch, his face pale and drawn. They rushed to his side.

"Sky, what's wrong?"

Sky looked up, his eyes haunted.

"I got a message... it's from Gun."

Rena's heart sank. She knew it was unlikely that her threat would scare Gun away, but she had still hoped. However, it seemed he was still determined to cause trouble.

Prapai's jaw clenched with anger. Sky had told him about Gun, not all the details, but that they had been in a relationship and it hadn't ended well. Rena knew the details though.

"What did he say?"

Sky handed his phone to Prapai, who read the message with a furrowed brow.

"He's threatening to come after us if I don't meet him the day after tomorrow."

Rena's mind raced with possibilities. She imagined what Gun might have planned for Sky if he didn't turn up, or worse, if he did. The serenity of the evening with Prapai felt like a distant memory now, overshadowed by the looming threat that Gun posed. She knew Sky was vulnerable, and the last thing she wanted was for him to relive the horrors of his past.

Her mind whirred with thoughts. She couldn't let Sky face this alone. Gun was manipulative and dangerous. Rena needed to act quickly, but she also needed to be smart. This wasn't just about protecting herself; it was about shielding the people she loved.

She paused by the window, looking out at the city lights twinkling in the distance. A plan began to form in her mind, one that didn't involve Prapai or Sky confronting Gun. Sky had been through enough, and she refused to let Gun drag him back into the darkness.
