At Different Speeds

One evening, Rena and Sky were hanging out at Sky's apartment while Prapai worked late. The atmosphere had been light and carefree, and what had started as an innocent hangout had quickly turned into a make-out session. Sky's heart raced with excitement, but he also felt a growing sense of something deeper—connection and care.

Rena pulled away, breathing heavily.

"We should stop."

Sky's eyes widened with concern.

"Why? Did I go too far?"

"No, I mean, I would quite happily continue this, but..."

He gently tucked another strand of hair behind her ear, his touch tender.

"Rena? What is it?"

She looked down at her hands, which were resting on Sky's chest.

"I'm not ready to go that far with P'Pai."

"Oh."

Rena felt embarrassed. It seemed silly to her that she wasn't ready to sleep with Prapai when she had already done so in the past.

"I don't know how this kind of relationship works. It seems unfair to... do stuff... with you and not with him."

Sky cupped her face with his hands and lifted her chin until she looked him in the eye.

"There's no right or wrong here. I know what we're doing isn't traditional, but as long as we're honest and communicate with each other, then it's fine."

The corners of her lips curled up into a tentative smile.
"You're not just saying that because you want to have sex with me?"

Sky frowned, feigning offense.

"Rena!"

"I'm joking! That makes sense, but I guess we shouldn't do anything without talking to P'Pai first."

"I think we can make out a little more."

Rena tried to suppress her smile as she leaned back in until their noses were practically touching.

"Maybe just a little..."

Their lips met again, and for a few more moments, they lost themselves in the warmth and comfort of each other's presence. The intimacy wasn't just physical; it was an affirmation of the trust and respect growing between them.

After a while, they pulled apart and settled back onto the couch, holding hands.

"We should talk to Prapai about this. It's important that we're all on the same page."

Rena nodded.
"I agree. I want to make sure we all understand each other's feelings and boundaries."

Just as they were discussing how to bring it up, the front door opened, and Prapai walked in, looking tired but happy to see them. His face lit up when he saw the two of them together.

"Hey, you two. What have you been up to?"

Sky and Rena exchanged a glance before Sky spoke.

"P'Pai, we need to talk."

Prapai raised an eyebrow and sat down across from them.

"Okay, what's up?"

Rena took a deep breath and began.

"Sky and I were... well, we were getting a bit close earlier, and we realized we need to talk about our boundaries and feelings. I'm not - I - um..."

Rena looked at Sky for help.

"What she's trying to say is that she's not ready to take that next step with you, even though you've done it in the past."

Prapai listened intently, his expression thoughtful.
"I appreciate your honesty, Rena. And thank you for bringing this up. This relationship is unconventional, but it's ours. We need to make sure we're all comfortable and respectful of each other's boundaries."

Sky nodded, feeling a surge of affection for both of them.

"Exactly. I think we can make this work as long as we're open with each other."

Prapai smiled warmly.

"I couldn't agree more. I love both of you, and I want to make sure we're all happy and secure in this relationship."

Rena's eyes shimmered with emotion.

"I love you both too. Thank you for understanding."

They all leaned in for a group hug, the warmth of their connection enveloping them. It was a moment of unity, a promise to navigate their unique relationship with care and communication.

As the evening wore on, they relaxed together, talking about their hopes and fears for the future. The bond between them felt stronger than ever, built on a foundation of trust and mutual respect.

And as they sat there, wrapped in each other's arms, Sky felt a deep sense of contentment. For the first time in a long time, he felt truly at peace, knowing that with Prapai and Rena by his side, he could face whatever challenges came their way.

The future was still uncertain, but they were ready to face it together, united by love and the promise of new beginnings.
