The very next morning, Kay and his family were all gathered in the living room. Alan and Lou watched as Felicity was straightening out Kay's shirt collar, speaking to him while doing so.

"Try not to go too long without eating, okay?"
"Okay."
"And stay hydrated. Fluids are important for your body."
"I will."
"Don't cause your teacher any trouble. And please, take breaks every now and then. Keep your teeth clean and change your boxers regularly."

Kay's face suddenly went red with embarrassment.

"Mom! We're not going to some summer camp. Come on."
"Your hygene is still important, sweetie."

After she finished tidying up Kay's collar, as well as his overall appearance, Lou walked over to his son to say something.

"Remember what I said before."
"Come back alive."

Kay responded as he smiled at his father, confidently. Lou was so proud of his son for remembering. It was clear now that after a few back and forths between them, they had finally reached an understanding. Felicity gently pulled Kay and Alan in for a hug.

"Please, take care of each other."
"We will."
"We'll see you guys soon. Love you!"

Kay said as he and Alan started to leave. Watching their child head out the door, Lou and Felicity couldn't help but feel proud of him. Much like before, they continued to support their son, despite whatever dangers lied ahead. They had faith that he would return home someday. Kay turned to Alan as they walked.

"Ready?"
"Yeah!"

They started making their way over to the front gate, where Kyle, Buch and Doctrene were waiting. As they saw the pair arrive, they greeted them.

"Yo!"
"Have you made all the preparations you needed to make?"

Kay and Alan responded to their teacher with a definitive nod.

"We're good to go. How about you, Kyle? What did your mom say?"
"I just told her that I wanted to venture out and be more constructive with my engineering skills. Which isn't TOO far from the truth."
"Clever."

Genuinely impressed with Kyle's excuse for leaving, Kay had a smirk on his face, which made Alan laugh a little. Buch crossed his arms before asking a very direct question.

"So where are we headed?"

Doctrene turned to face everyone before giving an answer.

"Our primary goal is to find a way to locate Turalan's domain so we can face him. But first, there's a lodge just up the road where travelers go to rest. We're going to stop there for a brief moment in order to put some distance between us and Medan. Once we settle, we can discuss how to reach Turalan."
"I used to live with him, so I'll try my best to help."
"Sounds like a plan."
"Yeah."

With Alan, Buch and Kyle all in agreement with Doctrene's plan, Kay nodded his head, feeling the same.

"Okay. Let's head to that lodge."

As they all turned around to leave through the front gate, Kay stopped for a second in order to take a long look at his hometown.

"Guess this is goodbye for now, Medan."

With a wave and a smile, he walked through the front gate and stepped out into the open world. Kay and his friends were about to embark on a treacherous journey, one that could very well change their lives and the lives of so many others. Their goal: To defeat the tyrant known as Turalan, and the wraiths that are under his command. The chase was on. As Turalan tried to hunt down Kay, Kay had to strike him first...The lodge that Kay and his friends were going to was only half way up the main road from Medan instead of at the very end of it. As they arrived, they took a look around and saw how rural yet relaxing it was. Alan gazed at a sign post near the entrance and began to read it.
