Adalyn's POV

The sunlight peeps through the curtains and shines on my face, waking me up. That was the best I had slept in a while. I turn to look at the clock on the bedside table which reads "11:00". There is no way I slept in for that long. Everyone else is probably up and going about with their day.

I remove the covers, a chill rushing over my body. When I try to move, something pulls me back. His hand is wrapped around my waist. Ashton is still fast asleep next to me. Strange. He is usually the first one up.

I try to move again without waking him, but he groans and pulls me closer to his chest. "5 more minutes." He looks so peaceful, not like his usual obnoxious self. He is almost kind of...cute. I admire his sleepy face a bit longer. I try to move the messy curls hanging over his forehead when his eyes start to budge. "Morning," he speaks hoarsely.

What is happening right now? He is like a leech I can't get rid of.

"Morning," I whisper right back. His eyes fall close once again and he buries his head into my neck while his grip tightens around me. It is as if he is drunk and doesn't know what is going on. "It's 11," I quietly say.

"Hm?" His eyes remain closed. His t-shirt, that I am wearing, is the only thing separating my skin from meeting his. The warmth of his body is radiating, making me not want to move from this spot.

"The time. It's 11." That time he hears me, and he immediately checks the clock.

"How did we sleep in so late?" I shrug in response. "They must be waiting on us."

I look down remembering his hand is still around my waist and tap him on his shoulder a few times. "Your hand."

"What?" He is still groggy.

"Your hand is preventing me from moving." He realises the position of his arm and quickly pulls away.

"Sorry about that." We both get out of bed, choosing to ignore it, and I go to get some coffee while he takes a shower.

What an interesting start to my morning.

Everyone is down by the lake already. I stand by the window overviewing the lake, thinking about what Ashton told me about Michael last night. I have to tell the others and figure out a way to talk to Brie. This is definitely going to be difficult since Brie is so stubborn.

I pull on my bathing suit and grab a lounge chair by the dock. "Well look who decided to greet us with her presence today." I brush off Brie when Michael climbs out of the water and joins us.

"I guess someone had too much fun last night that they couldn't get up this morning." Michael flashes me a smirk which makes me annoyed, but before I can fire a come back someone else speaks.

"Would you shut up Michael. We were just tired. Not everything involves sex." Ashton pops up behind me, scaring me a little, and rests his towel on my chair. "I'm going for a swim if anyone wants to join me."
