Gabriella was laying in the middle of the field with Emmett laying next to her as they watched the clouds rolling in. Emmett was suddenly on his feet, walking away causing Gabriella to sit up.

Looking over, she could see Emmett's jeep pulling into the field. Edward and Bella got out, beginning to walk towards everyone. Jasper walked over to her, offering a hand and pulled Gabby to her feet when she took it.

"You have to be the strangest human that I've ever met." He spoke softly as he looked down at her.

Gabriella smiled at this. "Good. That means there's nobody else like me in the world." She pointed out.

"There certainly aren't, darlin." He kissed her cheek before he moved to wrap an arm around her shoulders, leading her towards the others as well. Jasper and Alice had already explained that she couldn't play since she was human, they were worried she would get hurt. That also meant that Bella would be on the sidelines as well.

As Jasper's arm moved from her shoulders, Alice grabbed her hand, pulling her towards Esme.

"You can stand back here with Bella and Esme." She smiled and fixed Gabriella's hood carefully.

Gabby nodded her head and moved to the other side of Esme. She could hear Bella asking questions, but her attention was on Rosalie who was up to bat first.

A wide smile crossed her face in amazement when Rosalie hit the ball. It was loud, crashing like a clap of thunder. When Rosalie ran for the bases, she almost became a blur.

Gabby had been so lost in watching Rosalie, she hadn't even heard Esme and Bella's conversation.

It was fascinating watching them play the game. It was like it was this entirely different event when they did it.

She laughed softly when Emmett and Edward collided, trying to catch the ball when Carlisle had hit it. Emmett was in front of her in a second, throwing her over his shoulder. "Oh yeah? That's funny, huh?" He spun around a couple of times causing everyone else to laugh.
He put her back on her feet and pulled her hood down over her eyes slightly before walking back to his spot. Gabriella laughed softly as she fixed it again.

When Jasper moved to the plate, she rolled her eyes playfully as he began to flip the bat around. "Show off.." she muttered, though she knew he had heard her by the smirk on his face.

Gabriella had to bite her lip to hold in her laugh as she watched Emmett climb a tree to catch the ball Jasper had just hit.

"My monkey man." Rosalie said with the cheekiest smile Gabriella had ever seen as she playfully nudged Gabby's shoulder, causing her to laugh. Rosalie walked past her to the plate again.

Though as Rosalie hit the ball this time, Gabriella saw that far away look in Alice's eyes. Her blood almost ran cold as Alice looked to the opposite side of the field. "Stop." Even the tremble in the smaller vampire's voice changed the entire mood.

Everyone was around Bella and her in an instant. Everything was happening so fast, she couldn't process the information coming at her. She blinked when Jasper pulled her hood off of her head, fixing her hair. "Keep it off, just for a bit, okay?"

She nodded slowly as he slowly turned back in the direction Alice had been looking earlier.

Looking in the same direction, Gabriella saw three figures approaching them.

The one feature that really stood out about these three is their crimson irises.

It made her blood run absolutely cold and her heart was pounding so hard, she could hear it in her ears. When her eyes met the woman's it was as if she couldn't look away. The woman looked as if she was ready to jump on her at any second and it unnerved her. She felt herself being pulled away from the three, still not able to move her gaze off the red head.

It felt like everything was going in slow motion. Suddenly everyone was shoving her behind them, the three strangers crouching like they were about to pounce. The red head's smirk was the last thing she saw before her eyes rolled to the back of her head and she fell to the ground limp.
