•Brittany's POV•

"Come on! Go faster, your slower than a turtle with one leg!" Shawn shouts as I walk slowly up the stairs.

"After everyone left I ate three more doughnuts! And probably some other stuff that I don't remember, I'm obviously slow, and tired," I mumble. "Hey, why don't I just fall asleep right h-"

*******

I wake up at six in the morning from a really bad headache. I notice Brooke sleeping on the floor in my room. I thought she already left. I rubbed my eyes and sat up. I heard a groan from Brooke. I chuckled at her. "Morning." I said as she sat up and faced me.

"Why am I here? I thought I went home." She giggled, obviously not fully conscious.

"Don't ask me." I laughed.

"Good morning girls." My mom said opening the door.

"Didn't I go home last night?" Brooke immediately asked.

"You tried stumbling back, but I stopped you. Didn't want you falling on your face, you were tripping around on the street." My mom laughed. I don't remember most of what happened after we got Brooke back.

Speaking of which, I looked over at her face. She had bruises and cuts all over her, and it wasn't just her face.

"Did you get hit by a car or something?" I asked. "No offense but your face looks..."

"A little messed up? I know!" Brooke smiles. She acting weirdly perky. Maybe I'm dreaming, all my weird dreams usually start out with everyone acting to perky. But then Brooke threw her oddly overheated phone at me and it hurt. That means two things, I'm not dreaming, and there's something wrong with Brooke. She loves her phone so much that she can't even let it out of her sight for a minute, so I think she would know that throwing her phone at me could break it.

"Ow! Brooke!" I exclaim as I hand her back her phone. "Why is your phone overheated?" Brooke uses her phone but not that much.

After I ask, Brooke just falls asleep again.

"Okay, well that was weird..." I whisper to myself. I guess I'll just let her sleep for now.

I still have a headache so I should probably go back to sleep too.

"I-I think I'll just leave now." My mom stutters. She's sounds weirded out, I'm too tired to care though. I kinda forgot she was there anyway.

*******
I wake up again at nine a.m because I got a text from my foster brother Shawn.

From: Shawn
Hey, you okay?

From: me
Yeah.. Why wouldn't I be? And your room is right next to mine so you could just walk in..

From: Shawn
Well you should know that I'm lazy in the morning by now. But let's talk later.

From: me
Um, sure..

"Okay then.." Jeez, this day keeps getting weirder and weirder and it's not even 11 a.m yet.

"What?" Brooke asks. I guess my text woke her up too.

"Oh, just Shawn."

"Well that explains that." We both laugh.

"Hey, why were you acting weird earlier?" I ask.

"I wish I knew the answer, I just started doing things and saying things without even thinking about it." Brooke said with a confused expression.

We sat in silence for a little while. Then the door slammed open against the wall, "Hello ladies!" Shawn said closing the door after walking in.

Brooke started bursting out into laughter when he entered the room. "What do you want?" I asked in between laughing.

"Uh, I wanted to talk to you," He said scratching the back of his neck.

"Oh you were serious?" I said, my face changing to a more serious expression.

"Well what did you think?" He laughed.

"I thought you were just joking around and... You know what? That doesn't really matter, What were you going to talk about?" I said. He looks over at Brooke then back to me, as if to say, 'Is she going to stay?'. I nodded at him to go on, Brooke is basically my sister I trust her with my life.
