chapter 9

(SORAS POV)

I have to meet james in his office,

Sora I need you to handle some business tonight, he hands me a paper with a name and address on it.

What's the business? And why does this name sound familiar? I ask pouring me a shot of whisky.

We need to send them a message, our family and friends are not to be fucked with.

James looks at me with a fire in his eye, the name sounds familiar because we did a deal with him and his son. Sora he's the one who put the hit out on Cesar.

No survivors sora, james says finishing his drink.

I nod my head and head out (this is fucking personal). I take 3 of my guys with me and wait outside the address until everything is quite.
Jax you take the back and me and Alex will take the front. We get out the car and kill the two guards standing by the door. We get inside and I grab one gard by the stairs and rip his throat out. I make my way up the stairs and there are two guards by the master bedroom, Alex and I take them out. I enter the room and walk over to the bed, I put my hand over the man's mouth and he wakes up in a panic.

This is a message from Cesar bitch, I sink my teeth into his neck and drain him dry.

An hour later I make it home and shower washing the blood off of my body, I see my screen light up and it's a text from renee.

Renee:meet us in the study

Me: what's going on?

Renee: just get here

I meet renee in the study with resse and corbin sitting by the fire place and james by the book shelf.

What's up?

So I've been doing some digging and I found this renee says handing me a folder.
So it states that the Witches name is meir bonvye and she had 3 kids two older sons and a daughter. It turns out that bonvye is was a very powerful coven in new Orleans.

I found this when I looked up the bonvye family tree, Renee hands me a old looking paper with a lot of names on it.

The last reported name is Nancy bonvye and baby bonvye in 1999, but that's it, no name, no birthday nothing.

That got me to thinking, resse says. I remember when they brought reya to the orphanage, I remember the lady said she was from New Orleans and lost her family in a fire. So I pulled up our records from the orphanage and the only thing I can find was this. She hands me a piece of paper and everything is crossed out but reyas name and state of birth, my eyes widen. (new Orleans?)

Do you think reya remembers anything? I asked her looking at the folder again.

She was 6 years old and in shock, it took her almost a month to talk to anyone.

There's a long pause, so what does this mean? I ask looking at resse and renee.

Honestly I think reya is a bonvye witch. We're going to do more digging, Renee says taking the folder from me.

I remember when we were younger reya use to have these real vivid dreams, and she use to see things we didn't.
she always kept journals writing everything down She still does it. resse says sipping her tea.

Honestly i didn't understand it when we're kids but When we got older I learned about people who's opened their third eye and reya seemed to fit into that so I brushed it under the rug as that. It's all making sense to me now.

Okay well look more into this later but I feel like this is something we need to discuss with reya. I don't feel right about keeping this from her.
Resse looks up at me with a stern look, and walks over to me.

So that means you have to tell reya about you, are you ready to do that?

I am, I answer her. I just hope she takes it well. With that I leave and go to my room.

I sit on my bed and try to process all of this. I pull out my phone and text reya.

Me: Hey beautiful you up?

Reya: yes I'm up kind of a restless night.

Me: want me to come keep you company.

Reya: sure that way I won't be bored alone :)

Me: I'm on my way

30 minutes later I'm pulling up to reyas house she greets me at the door.
I place a kiss on her cheek

We go up to her room and I sit on the bed with reya sitting across from me.
The other night what happened between us where does that leave us?

Sora I like you a lot but I-I idk where that puts us that night was a mistake that wasn't supposed to happen, then I keep getting this feeling that your hiding something from me.

(Shit does she know , did she really see me that night)

Look reya I just want to protect you I need you to understand that. You have to believe that and I want to be with you.

Okay I give her a peck on the cheek, I'll see you later I have something I need to take care of and I walk out.
