They were going skating. After the night of the lacrosse game, Lydia and Stiles started to spend a lot more time together while Scott started to see a relationship blooming. But Allison ensured him that it wasn't the case. Lydia smiled as she and Stiles were busy putting on their skates while he got out a packet of Reese's given it to her.

"Thank you," Lydia said.

"You're a lot more talkative than you've been before," Stiles said as Lydia bit her lip.

"Maybe I just need to get comfortable first," Lydia said as Stiles smiled while looking at Scott and Allison.

As it was Scott's first time skating the teen was struggling, but Allison was a natural at it. Lydia got up as she tried to balance herself out. She got on the ice while Stiles looked at her. He didn't know whether this was her first time or if she has done it before. But immediately he saw that she knew what to do regarding the activity. He smiled as he stepped out on the ice.

"At least the two of us have done it before. Poor Scott hasn't," Stiles said as Lydia smiled looking at her best friend.

"He'll be fine. Allison has him. When did you learn to skate?" Lydia asked.

"My mother taught me. She and my dad loved to take me," Stiles said, missing his mother as Lydia spung around.

"How do you jot get dizzy?" Stiles asked as Lydia smiled.

"Who says I don't? I've done it so long, I don't realize stuff like that anymore. If you don't mind me asking, what did your mom pass away off?" Lydia asked.

"Frontotemporal dementia," Stiles said.

His mother was a bad reminder of what he didn't have anymore. A family. He did try to keep a strong face in front of Scott, but he knew that with Lydia it would be impossible. The young teenager seemed to bring out an emotional side of him. A side that he didn't show to many people. Even his father hadn't seen that side of him in years.

"I'm sorry I asked," Lydia said.

She noticed that Stiles went quiet upon the question, and decided to not ask many other questions. Stiles took her hand in his as she looked up into his golden eyes.

"Don't feel bad about it. It's good for me to talk about it," Stiles said.

"You don't do that with Scott?" Lydia asked as they stopped skating, holding onto the edge.

"Nope," he said popping the p.

"I prefer not to involve him into this crap. Not really something he wants to discuss either. Learning his best friend's mother died when he was 9 isn't easy," Stiles said.

"Scott isn't very sensitive when it comes to things like that. Sometimes he..." Lydia said as Stiles trailed off in his mind.

He wondered if Lydia knew about Scott. What he was. But then it came to him. It never came up in a conversation to them. Not between him and her anyway.

"Lydia?" Stiles asked as Lydia looked at him.

"Hmm?"

"Do you believe in supernatural things. Like werewolves," Stiles asked.

"I wouldn't be surprised if they exist. But I've never come across one. Why?" Lydia asked.

"Just curious. I have to talk to Scott for a second. Will you be okay on your own?" Stiles asked as Lydia nodded and skated off.

"Scott!" Stiles said as his best friend turned to him.

"Yeah, Buddy? What's up?" Scott asked.

"Does Lydia know you're a werewolf?" Stiles asked as he could see how his friend frantically looked where the strawberry blonde was.
