"What does the different coloured string means?" Lydia asked as she was laying on Stiles' bed, her stomach facing down.

"Different stages of the investigation. Green means solved. Yellow means to be determined. Blue's just pretty," Stiles said, shrugging his shoulders like he questioned himself.

"What does red mean?" Lydia asked.

"Unsolved," Stiles said.

"They're all over the board," Lydia said.

"Yes, I'm aware, thank you," Stiles said while Scott and Malia looked at them.

"Are you guys sure you aren't together? Because you guys are acting like an old married couple," Malia said as stiles looked at her while Lydia wrapped the red string around her finger.

"Okay next question then! Lydia. Why can't you drive yet? Scott said he or Stiles will probably teach you. So?" Malia asked.

"I just turned 16 a few weeks ago," Lydia said.

"Wow wait. You're a year younger than all of us? How are you friends with her?" Malia asked.

Stiles had to admit that this brunette was getting on his nerves. Not just did she question everything he did, but she also made Lydia feel like she had something to be ashamed of. Whether it was her father being dead or not being able to rescue Allison. And he hated every moment of it.

"Me and Lydia grew up with each other. We have been next door neighbors since her birth. Our mothers are best friends. Like the best of friends so they raised me and Lydia like twins. She and Stiles met through me, I guess you can say," Scott said.

"Now it makes sense why the jock and the nerd hang out so much," Malia said as Stiles threw his hands down, looking at Malia.

"You're really starting to get on my nerves," Stiles said as Lydia rolled her eyes.

"Lydia, untangle that string, please. Oxygen needs to get to your finger," Scott said as Stiles realized how Lydia was struggling to get the string off.

"Hey," Stiles said taking Lydia's hand in his.

He smiled at her while gently taking the string off, and throwing it aside, while she gave him a soft smile.

"Thank you," Lydia said.

"Can we not take too long, please? I want to start teaching Lydia how to drive tonight and the two of you are taking your sweet time tonight," Stiles said.

"You have a lot of trust in her if she's using the jeep," Scott said.

"Not my fault you suck at solving mysteries," Malia said while Lydia looked at Stiles.

"Stiles, how about we go now? Then we can see if Malia can crack this," Lydia said.

"Great idea. Let's go, Lyds," Stiles said grabbing the keys to the jeep.

"Lydia, Stiles wait," Scott said as they went out of the room.

"You really don't have to be such a jerk. They are trying to help," Scott said.

"Not doing a good job tho. He's so obsessed with her that neither are concentrating," Malia said.

"We're not much better either," Scott said as he grabbed his bike helmet and was off.

Stiles and Lydia jumped into the car. While Stiles wanted to start the car and get to the driving grounds early, Lydia stopped him. She laid her hand on his which indicated to him that he should wait. They saw as Scott came out of the house, got on his bike, and drove off while Malia followed him. She got into her car and drove off while Lydia looked at Stiles.
