"I'm worried, Scott. It feels like something could happen that could change just about everything. Why?" Stiles asked as Scott shrugged his shoulders.

"Ask Lydia. She had a prediction about someone's death," Scott said as a car pulled up next to them.

"Don't tell him that," Lydia said as Scott jumped at the voice while Stiles smiled.

"Since when did you get a car?" Stiles asked as Lydia climbed out of it.

"Last night. Mom surprised me," Lydia said.

"More important question. When did you get your license? Because driving with only your learners is extremely..." Scott said as Lydia pulled out her license.

"Dangerous. When?" Scott asked as Lydia smiled and got her bag out of the back.

"Two days ago. This is supposedly my award for doing so well in AP Biology," Lydia said as Stiles smiled.

"Well you are pretty smart so it doesn't surprise me that you did good," Stiles said as Lydia smiled.

"Yeah, yeah. Surprisingly good. I have a 4.0 in AP Biology," Lydia said as Scott looked shocked at his best friend.

"That is unbelievable good. How the hell are we friends and I have significantly less smartness while being the older one?" Scott asked as Lydia smiled.

"Don't ask me. I have no idea. Listen, what are we doing Sunday?" Lydia asked as both boys looked at her.

"It's Stiles' birthday isn't it? Isn't your dad doing something?" Lydia asked as Stiles shook his head.

"Gone to Virginia for some huge case. Don't ask me why they are involving him. Come over. We can do something on our own. If Malia behaves herself, she can also come. Lately your relationship has seen new levels," Stiles said as Scott looked at him.

"Okay, we can quickly come over for a few, but we actually have a date later that night," Scott said.

"On your best friend's birthday?" Lydia asked as Scott looked at her.

"Lydia, it's fine. You can come by for awhile, Scott. That's fine. And then me and Lydia can find something to do," Stiles said as Lydia bit her lip.

"Or do you also have plans for the night?" Stiles asked as Lydia shook her head.

"My mom is away for work. I just really hoped we could do something together. All three of us," Lydia said.

"You and Stiles will also have fun," Scott said as he saw Malia.

"Malia! We are popping by Stiles' before our date on Sunday," Scott said as Malia looked at him.

"What da... Oh yeah. My dad has me so crazy. Sure, what's the occasion?" Malia asked.

"Stiles' birthday," Scott said.

"I have to get to biology," Lydia said as Stiles nodded.

"So do I. Scott?" Stiles said as he shook his head.

"First class is English. You guys go. I'll see you in Math," Scott said as Stiles and Lydia were off.

"Why lie like that?" Malia asked

"Because... Stiles has admitted that he likes Lydia. She hasn't said a word about anything. I argued with her about her crush on him since third-grade and that's how he found out. They are so madly in love, but Lydia is afraid she will mess up everything if she even bothers to try. They need some more alone time. We'll pop by quickly on his birthday, but then I think we should leave them alone," Scott said.

"And this date we are supposedly going on?" Malia asked as Scott exhaled.

"I was hoping you would say yes to a movie?" Scott asked as Malia nodded while she threw her arms around his neck.

Yes. She liked Scott. But neither of them really knew what to do about their feelings. They just knew they had to give it a shot. And that was what Scott has been trying to do.

"Scott McCall. Yes. I'll go to the movies with you," Malia said as Scott smiled.

Malia leaned into Scott placing a kiss on his lips. Instead of pulling away, Scott grabbed onto the moment, pulling Malia into him while he deepened the kiss. They happened. Scalia happened.

"Think they'll ever happen?" Lydia asked as Stiles nodded.

"Malia was made for Scott. Not so much for me. Come on. Biology awaits," Stiles said.

Scott looked at the scene in front of him. He, Lydia and Malia were at Stiles' celebrating his birthday while Scott could see that something was going on. Stiles looked over at Scott while he was grateful to have his friends with him for his birthday. But did dearly miss his father. He smiled at Lydia sitting next to him while it seemed like both were comfortable. For quite awhile both didn't spend much time together. They were afraid of being alone with one another. And now it seemed like they were worried for no good reason.

"Okay guys. We have to get going. Movies doesn't wait on you," Scott said as he and Malia grabbed their coats.

"Enjoy it guys. And thanks for coming," Stiles said.

"Sure. Have a nice evening guys," Malia said as she and Scott went out of the house.

Stiles looked at Lydia while it seemed like nothing was the same. He sat down back next to her while she grabbed her coffee on the table.

"They are definitely happening, hey? Scott and Malia," Lydia said as Stiles nodded placing his elbow on the cushion behind him.

"Yeah, they are. It was never me for her. And with that I made peace a long time ago," Stiles said brushing Lydia's strawberry blonde hair away, noticing that the girl was blushing.

"Stiles," Lydia softly said as he smiled at her.

"You don't have to be afraid of me. Never," Stiles said as Lydia looked at him, placing her cheek in the palm of his hand.

"I never have been afraid of you, Stiles. I could never get myself to that point," Lydia said as Stiles looked at her suddenly shocked that her reaction changed.

She placed her cup empty cup back down on the table as she shifted her body and looked at him. She smiled while knowing a lot was about to change. She swiftly closed her eyes while she looked at Stiles. She didn't know what to do about all of this. Yes, she was the girl that has been in love with Stiles since third-grade, but she was afraid that when she allowed people into her life, that they would get hurt.

"Lydia," Stiles said gently cupping her cheek.

"Please don't," Lydia said.

Stiles looked at her, pulling her body into his while she laid her head on his chest. The moment for the two of them were soft and Stiles knew that he loved Lydia. But he also knew that she was still scared of a lot of things. They watched a movie, something about solving crimes. Lydia didn't know much about it, but she knew Stiles loved things like that. So that was what they watched. Stiles looked down at a sleeping Lydia. The one thing he loved was when she fell asleep in his arms. It happened on various occasions and each time it did happen, something else he had discovered about the young girl. This time he realized the one quote he heard somewhere was true.

I fell in love with the way you fall asleep. Slowly, and then all at once.

Originally it meant nothing to him, but now Stiles knew it meant the world to him.
