Chapter Twenty three

Isabel Esmeralda Rodríguez POV

I froze up and looked at his face for a while. He had this big smile on his face and it started to fade away. I quickly smiled back at him. "Of course I have, I am so happy to see you" I said and hugged him. I could feel he was happy because he hugged me back tightly. "What are you doing here?" I asked him and unraveled myself from him. I looked back at Alora who just looked confused. "I want to surprise you" He said with a smile on his face. "Who is this?" He asked me and pointed at Alora. "Oh yeah I forgot, this is my friend Alora and Alora this is my future husband Alek" I said and she was still confused while Alek's smile got bigger when I introduced him as my future husband.

This fucking creep, I swear to god we will kill him one day, one beautiful day.

"Nice to meet you," She said. "Nice to meet you too, don't I know you from somewhere" He asked her and she shook her head no. Then it was this awkward silence. "Well Alek this was so cute of you to surprise me but we must go before my family gets worried" I said and we went away from him. We just walked forward until I couldn't see him anymore. Then I felt this panic crawling to me and I just felt like I couldn't breathe anymore. Alora tried to calm me down and it worked. "Was that your ex?" She asked me and I just nodded. I looked at her and I just wanted to tell her the whole truth. "I want to tell you something but please don't be afraid of me or get scared" I said and she looked confused. "It's okay if you can tell me anything, I won't be afraid of you" She said.

Okay here goes nothing.

I took a deep breath and let it out. "I am in the mafia" I said and I saw her face get more confused. She then laughed but I had this straight face on me and she stopped laughing. "Wait you're not joking" She said and I shook my head no. I then told her the whole truth and everything and all the lies that I told her. I told her about how I got kidnapped and married and about the American mafia and about the whole truth about Alek. When I finished she just looked at me with a shocked expression on her face. "I'm so so sorry that I have been lying to you. I just didn't know if I should tell you the truth or not and I didnt want to scare you away, you have been a very great best friend for these past few weeks" I said and looked away from her. I don't know how she would react but I am prepared for anything.

She then hugged me and I hugged her back. "I can't believe that you went through all of that and you are still here and strong, I get why you wouldn't tell me anything of this because this is insane and I will be here for you I promise, I will help you with everything" She said and I smiled and hugged her harder.

When I got home I felt relieved and so happy. I went to the living room to see everyone there, well except for Amedeo. My mom saw me and got up to hug me. "Where have you been?" She asked me in a stressed tone. I looked at the time and it was super late. "I was out with Alora and I forgot the time Im sorry" I said and her body relaxed and she let me go.

"You need to be more careful, Alek is still here in Spain" My dad said and I looked confused at him. "Why? I thought he had already left? '' I said in a confused tone, as if I didn't know he was still here. "He wants to have another peace offering," Dom said, he is so tired and annoyed at Alek.

I bet he is going to ask them about your hand again.

I believe that too. Amedeo then walks in with his girlfriend and he looks at me. I look at him and then back at my family. "Well then I am going to sleep see you guys tomorrow then" I said and went up to my room.

Four weeks have passed and today is another appointment. It is the 26 february. These four weeks have been very good weeks. Alek has finally left Spain after my brother declined his offer again for like the fifth time and guess what they were all about me and him getting married. Me and Alora have been hanging out every day. And I haven't talked to Amedeo that much just like small talk and I have tried to avoid him as much as I can. I look at myself in the mirror and see my belly, it has grown so much. I am like 20 weeks now, I have been feeling super tired like very tired. But it is okay. I am feeling good.
