Chapter Thirty Six

Isabel Rodríguez POV

5 Years later

I was in the kitchen doing pancakes. I looked at the clock that said 7:15. Gosh they are going to be late to their first day in school. Allegra and Antonio or should I say Dia and Dino are six years old and today is their first day in the first grade. I am so happy for them. "DIA, DINO HURRY UP COME EAT YOUR BREAKFAST" I yelled and I saw the two children running from the hallway and to the kitchen. They both sat on their chairs and I came with two plates in my hand and placed it in front of them. "Morning mama" Dia and Dino said at the same time with their cutest voice ever and my heart melted. "Morning little munchkins, now eat your breakfast or we are all going to be late" I said and they started to eat their food. Many things have changed in these few years. I have also changed the red hair into my natural hair color. I always have contact lenses from green eyes to brown.

I looked at Antonio and Allegra, they look so similar but they have different features like Allegra has bluest eyes ever like her dad and my hair color while Antonio has my green eyes and his dad black hair, he kinda looks like him too but in a good way. I do kinda miss him and everyone. But it is for the best, no more killing or anything else. I am happy with my little new life here, it's safe and I have my babies who I love so goddamn much. "Mama, I am done," Antonio said. "Me too," Allegra said right after. "Okay come on let's goo" I said and they quickly got up from the chair giggling. We got out of the apartment and into the car. I drove off to their school. I got out of the car and so did they too.

They stood in front of the school and I squatted down to their level hugging them tightly. "Have an amazing day at your school loves, remember I love you so much my babies" I said and they hugged me back. The school bell rang and they let go of me and started to run into the school. I got back to the car and started to drive to my work. I work now for a big hotel company where I am the assistant to the CEO. And trust me I made sure none of them owns this hotel. It took a while to get up there but I did and I am proud of my hard work actually. When I got to work I parked my car and got out of the car. I went into the building and saw the receptionist. I smiled at her and she gave me a smile back, I went into the elevator and clicked on the level where I worked. When I reached it I saw everyone standing and waiting for someone, so I went to my work friend Lisa. She is just the nicest person ever and she is single. I saw her standing at the back of them so I went to stand with her. "Adriana you came and you are late" She said and I gave her a smile. "Sorry the kids took a while to get ready, but what's going on?" I said. "Someone is buying the company and they are going to introduce them as the new CEO" She said and I just nodded my head.

After a while of standing the new CEO came, but I didn't see them. There were many people standing in front of me. "Hello and good morning" I heard a voice say and it sounded so familiar. "I am Amedeo Genova and I am the new CEO of this company" He said and I froze. I catched a glimpse of him smirking. "No" I said and Lisa looked at me weirdly. I quietly sneaked away from the crowd and into the girls bathroom and I started to panic, Lisa came after me and saw me panicking. "Fuck" I said in a louder tone. "What, what's going on?" She asked me. "No he found me, he knew I was here that bastard" I said and she just got more confused. "What the hell are you talking about?" She said, "That's the father of my kids" I said and she looked shocked. "Good job honestly, he is hot" She said and I looked at her, she puts her hands up. "Sorry not sorry, he is a piece of an ass" She said and I chuckled a little bit. "God I need to go, can you say that I felt sick and I left, I really can't be here right now" I said and she nodded her head.

I quickly got out of the bathroom and went out of the building and as I was about to open my car door I felt a hand on my shoulder, I flinched a little bit before I turned around and saw Amedeo. "Adriana López isn't it" He said and I shook my head yes. "You don't seem sick to me" He said and I straightened myself up and looked at him. "No but I need to go, some emergency" I said and tried not to look him in the eyes. "Next time tell me the truth instead of lying but I will see you tomorrow" He said but he looked at my face. "You look like someone I know," He said. I got into the car and started to drive off.
