Chapter Forty Two

Isabel Rodríguez POV

We were all just sitting there after Aliyah left and we all got tired so most of them went to their room while I went to the kitchen to grab some water. After a while Amedeo came in and saw me and I just had this burning question in my head that I just wanted to know. "So have you told your wife?" I asked him. "No I can't tell her" He said and I looked confused at him. "Why?" I asked him and he just looked away from me. And that's when he said the word I secretly hoped not to hear ever from him. "I love her" He said and my heart felt like something was pushing on it. I felt the tears forming stuck in my throat but I didn't want them to get out so I quickly stood up and went to my room.

I- Didn't he just- Nevermind.

I swear to god I am dumb, how could I fall for his tricks. I alway fall for these tricks, maybe I am just stupid and too trustworthy. He said he wanted me, he loved me, that he regrets not waiting for me and he then tells me that he loves her. I need to stop thinking with my heart and start thinking with my head like I used to, time to shut down my emotions.

I don't really think that's an great idea.

No it is. So I started to think and went to sleep to try and calm myself down. When I woke up I changed into something comfy because I was just going to do my nails and fix my hair up to make myself feel better. Maybe go shopping too. I went out of the room and into the twins room and I did not find them there. I thought maybe they were already awake and eating so I went to the dining room. Everyone was there and already eating except for Amedeo, Allegra, Antonio and Audrey. That made me scared, so instead of saying good morning as I usually do I asked them. "Where are my kids?" They all looked around and noticed they weren't there. I went to the living room and my family went after me. I started to panic until I heard their voices. They were giggling and talking, so I turned around and saw Amedeo and Audrey with them.

I went to them and started to hug the twins while giving Amedeo the death stare. They of course hugged me back and smiled at me. I gave them a smile back and it lit my heart. "Good morning mama" They both said and went off to the dining room with my mom and dad. That's when I looked at Amedeo and he looked at me with a confused look. "You seem mad" He just said. "Mad?" I just laughed and he was smiling. "Mad?" I said it again and that's when he got nervous and backed away from me. "OFCOURSE I AM MAD" I yelled at him.

"You took the kids without saying to me do you know how much I panicked I thought they got fucking kidnapped" I said and stormed of while saying. "God I wish I could just punch you" I went to the dining room and the kids were sitting there waiting for food. "You know what guys get up we are going to eat McDonalds" I said and they quickly got up and ran before me to the car.

I started to drive off to the McDonalds and they ordered their stuff, I parked at a nearby lake and we were eating in the car just having fun and were joking. "So what did you guys do with dad?" I asked them. "We were out in the park with just dad and he was playing with us you know playing hide and seek, then he were just talking with us about you then when his wife came we went back home directly she didn't want to go but he didn't want us to be with her" Allegra casually said and went back to eating her fries. "Wait, what did he say about me?" I asked curiously and turned back at them. "He just said he had a very fun time with you even when you were mad at him and did pranks on him and that he still l-" She said before Antonio interrupted her. "Shhh he said it was a secret and you promised not to tell" He said and she got quiet. I knew what he meant by 'pranks' but I do wonder what secret he told them to keep quiet. "Come on tell me" I said and Allegra looked at her brother and then me. "He said he still loves you" She said quickly and her brother slapped his forehead. He confuses me a lot.
